The last time we ordered we called at 8:30pm & ordered two pieces of pie, a piece of cake & a soda. At 9:30, when the food still hadn't arrived, we called to check to make sure it was on it's way-we were told it was and should be there momentarily. When it still hadn't arrived at 9:50 we called back to check on the status. A man answered the phone and he was shocked, saying that we "never placed the order" and that he was the only person answering the phone that night so he would KNOW if someone placed that order. We explained that we definitely placed the order, and called just 20 minutes prior to check on it. He started yelling, telling us that there was "NO WAY." It was ludicrous. He finally asked us if we wanted him to send us the pies or not, and I said yes, please. He refused to believe this was some mistake on their part, and acted as if he was doing us a favor by sending over the desserts. When I hung up, I was kind of shocked, I told my roommate what had happened and she decided that she no longer wanted her food. I called back, (someone else answered the phone) and I asked to speak to a manager. The angry man picked up the phone again and said he was the owner. He started shouting at me from the start this time. He said that we were playing games with him- that we had "just called back" and said thank you for sending the pies so quickly. He wouldn't let me speak, but I tried to explain that no, we hadn't received the desserts nor did we call to thank them just seconds before. He continued to scream at me for about ten minutes. We finally just hung up. I think this was possibly a case of either a forgotten order or maybe a mix up with the delivery? Who knows. I don't understand the reason that the "owner" of the restaurant would get so violently angry over a small mistake like this (that was CLEARLY their fault). It could have easily been solved with an apology and a promise to send our food right away.

I went here for breakfast/brunch recently. The decor is nice on the inside and despite reading all the bad reviews, we found the service to be acceptable. Our food came out quickly and it was good. I had the goat cheese and spinach omelet. It wasn't the best I've ever had but again this is no fine dining establishment. My guest had the pancakes and they were very good. I would go back here any time I was seeking a diner-type place to go eat.

Me and my two girlfriends went to the cup on Saturday night. I was not impressed to much with the food but one of my girlfriends seems to have a small crush on the very nice blond guy who we think is either the owner or the manager. Rebecca is kind of shy and when I said that the food was not really that great, she said to me, but isn't he really cute? He is but the food does need to be better no matter how much she likes the guy.
