Editorial Review for Tonic Time Square – by Erin Behan
In Short
This three-level bar, lounge and restaurant brings the bright lights and flashy TVs of Times Square inside. Giant TVs hang behind the first floor bar, where local business folks mingle with tourists. A striking red dominates the cavernous main floor, while the second and third feel more intimate with booths and comfy seating. The lengthy martini menu pales in comparison to the food menu that covers ground from onion rings and wings to rib tips and tuna steak.

Insider Tips
What to DrinkFor beer lovers, the tap selections cover ample ground, from Bass to Yuelinging (30 in all). Of the fruity, brightly colored martinis, the mandarin delivers a nice kick without tasting too sweet.

This place sucks..the bar tenders are dupery (this has happened twice now, that they have charged me extra for drinks and then later escape by apologizing ), the black bouncers are awful ( they r hostile, don't know how to talk or behave to customers. they don't deserve to be in NY ), the service is hopeless,pathetic..This place is not recommended at all. one person can be wrong but if 10 people have the same opine then it has to be true. I would rather quit drinking but won't go to this place again in my life..No matter what.
Pros: location ( at times square ) that's it
Cons: the hostile bar tenders and bouncers. poor service

i just moved here to nyc. a few nights ago i went to tonic in times sq after seeing hairspray. really cool place. awesome big screens for games. they had a great cocktail menu, great wings, by far the best i've had in the city yet. the service was awesome. our waitress kristen was great! she was adorable and funny. we never had an empty drink on the table. highly recomend for after theater hang out, definatly great for watching a game.
Pros: great service, great food.
Cons: music was a little too loud.
