Tips for Serenity Spa

It's the attention to detail that impressed me about this spa. My partner Dan suggested I try them out to unwind from a recent NYC business trip. The staff was very knowledgeable and personable. The hour-long deep tissue massage in a private, serene atmosphere was just what I needed. The soothing music and green tea just topped off a great experience for me. Will definitely be making a return visit.

My sister suggested this Spa on Sixth Avenue in Chelsea for Facials; so, following my picky sister's advise i got one of the best facials i ever had. The rooms in the back are so peaceful, serene just as it's name, Serenity provides a state of calmness while getting an amazing Facial.

very good facials. I am convinced that Serenity Spa's facials are great. I have tried twice already and had very good results after. Way, way great compliments on my skin afterwards. It's hard to find a good place for facials. I do believe all those awesome comments written about them because their facials rock!

DO NOT USE.
Everything you read on Yelp about the horrible customer service at this place is true. My horror story exceeds even theirs- they effectively stole $100 from me. I too bought a Groupon- but mine was for the *other* Serenity Spa in NYC. I made an appointment at *this* Serenity Spa by mistake, and their online form requires you to authorize your credit card to be charged. I called immediately to cancel my mistaken reservation. The person who answered the phone was very snippy. I explained that I had a Groupon for the other Serenity Spa and had booked with them by mistake, to which she replied, "Right, because we don't take Groupon!" I then reiterated that I wanted to cancel my appointment for that reason, and hung up.
The evening of my CANCELLED appointment, I got a phone call accusing me of missing my appointment and informing me that I would be charged. I told the person that I had called to cancel, and she asked me for my confirmation number. I told her I wasn't given one but that I had proof that I had called to cancel. She was very rude and as others have said, the attitude is that all of the blame is on the customer. Finding it outrageous that THEIR mistake should cost me $100, I disputed the charge. I even provided proof of my cancellation phone call, but my credit card company couldn't do anything because I had authorized them to charge me. They have now added a note on their reservations page asking you to email to cancel rather than calling since their receptionist is clearly incompetent. I strongly suspect the change was a result of this whole tawdry affair.
I strongly urge you to boycott this place- they clearly have no concern for their customers or potential customers, only for pocketing peoples' hard-

My family loves Serenity Spa.
I frequent Serenity on Sixth Avenue as I moved to Chelsea last year. My mother and sister love this place even when they have to commute from the UWS. We meet for spa time even if we just get manis.
I work close by. Serenity opens late and have a great selection of spa products like Dermalogica.
I heard they are getting laser treatments. It will send a lot of time to my mom if she can get all her skin care treats and goodies at Serenity Spa. I got her a Gc for mother's day. She will be coming around soon.

Greatest masage I had. I was a little afraid to request a massage at a new spa in my area, however, after reading comments on blogs about Serenity Spa on Sixth avenue I was determine to give it a try. Absolutely, the best massage I had so far. BgAp1970 thank you for the advise.

My Facial got an A+. In search for a Spa with exceptional facials? Serenity Spa in Chelsea is the place. Amazingly recommended by my close friend Daniella, since she visits so many spas in the city, I give an A+ to my Oxygen facial with judy. The location is easy to access (right on Sixth Avenue). They sell Vivite, which I usually purchase at my Dermatologist.

Loved the Facial at Serenity Spa.
Great Facial. I visited Serenity Spa for a facial and was fascinated. Since I frequent many spas in the city, I can differentiate good facials over mediocre ones. Serenity Spa's facial was outstanding.
I was very impressed with the setting, layout of this spa. I am used to the full day spa where you need to practically check-in and out. Most of them are expected to offer outstanding facials and massages. In the city you also find many nail salons where some add to their menus facials and massages. Well, Serenity is different. As I entered the Spa I was completely impressed with the beautiful rooms in the back. They are not a big spa but for sure they have great staff . My facial was incredible. The whole hour was perfect. Step by step I could feel the quality of each stroke and the right amounth of cremes applied at the right time. The neck massage was amazing. What can i say: I loved this facial

Trustworthy. Since I moved to Chelsea, Serenity Spa has been my favorite place to spoil myself. Since I work in the fashion industry, every weekend I have to attend to different events. Stress, stress stress...I look forward getting my facials at Serenity Spa. I get great comments about my skin. I own it all to Serenity Spa, specially to Carmen
