Don't make a mess. Oh Crumbs. How much do I love thee? Let me count the ways. 1) how many cupcakes I eat when I'm with other people. 2) how many I eat when I'm by myself :) Seriously, the cupcakes speak for themselves, but the staff here is great. Don't make a mess when you eat them...

A-mazing Cupcakes!. Crumb’s is a chain bakery that specializes in cupcakes and began as one store in the Upper West Side of Manhattan in 2003 and now has dozens of stores around the country. Their cupcakes are to die for- “Chocolate Sundae” is my current favorite, but they have about 50 varieties, with new ones invented every month. I love cupcakes, because I’m too lazy to make (and decorate!) them at home, and they are portion sized and the shape adds to the sensual experience of eating them. Instead of baking a whole cake, and eating it all, you can get your chocolate/sugar/carb fix with just one- saving yourself some calories and trips to the gym (although Crumb’s also makes cakes).

Their “Signature” cupcake is super-sized, but they offer the standard size and the tiny ones too. The range of flavors is mouth-watering… Butterscotch, Apple Cobbler, Cappuccino, Milkshake, Margarita, Vanilla Coconut, Blackout (think about how much chocolate something has to have to be called Blackout!), as well as more traditional flavors. They’re not only soft and delicious, but beautiful to look at.

You can also order them online, and get them delivered to your home. Do yourself a favor and get an assortment! They make great gifts as well (think, Christmas, birthdays, office parties, etc, in place of fruit baskets).

So so cupcakes, crappy service. i had purchased a large order of cupcakes for a party, and the people that worked there acted as if they were doing ME a favor by taking my money. No one said "thank you" and they had a pained look on their face. The cake is dry and tasteless, the only good part is the iceing. You'd be better off buying a stick of butter, some confectionary sugar, making your own iceing and throwing in some chunks of mushy snicker bar.

Not worth going out of your way.. I have heard amazing things about these cupcakes. This was my first trip to NY so I made sure Crumbs was on my list of places to go. Some friends and I bought a 6 pack of different cupcakes so we could cut them up and try 6 different flavors. The frosting was good but the cupcakes were incredibly dry. Not at all what I expected. We went early expecting fresh cupcakes but they tasted like they had been sitting out for a day or 2. It was very disappointing.

Good for an afternoon treat. We stopped in after a day at the Met for something sweet and a cool place to sit and enjoy it. Enormous cupcakes were quite yummy - we tried the Blackout, Cappucino and a basic yellow with sprinkled chocolate icing. Very good, moist and plenty of icing with fililng in the large ones. Good coffee too. Very small seating area but it worked our for us. Made for a nice break.

Unprofessional Inconsiderate. I ordered cupcakes for a pal's 30th birthday party. My card was charged right away yet I write this a week past the delivery date and I have yet to receive my cupcakes. I have been calling and emailing crumbs all week as to the whereabouts of my missing cupcakes and have not received a return call...or a reply to my emails.

Scrumptious!!!. I had the most phenomenal cupcakes imaginable!!!!! Honestly, they were so rich and flavorful that I couldn't even eat a whole cupcake. Even saving it for later, it tasted faaabulous. I get these cupcakes for work all the time, we can't get enough!!!

Cupcakes look better than they taste. The service is very friendly and it's a charming spot for people watching. Delectable arrangement of cupcakes. They look gorgeous, however, the one I got was dry and not as chocolatey as I had hoped. Coffee is passable. If you're looking to blow your calories on a treat I would keep looking...

This uptown bakery tempts sweet-toothed customers with cupcakes and other goodies.. In Short
Mia Bauer started this bakery with 150 of her own recipes, and now her whimsical cafe boasts a loyal following--everyone from moms with kids to "dieters" who can't resist. Pictures of oversize sprinkle cookies adorn the walls, while blackboards list gourmet cupcakes (fluffernutter, pistachio) and complementary beverages (crumb cupcake steamers, hot berry cider). Clear jars of rugelach and tarts sit above the main display case, and wicker baskets of muffins provide a less sugary alternative.
