“was with a bunch of friends this past friday and everything was happy and fun until we ordered drinks - it wasn't crowded or hectic enough to justify the bar tenders attitude problem.”

“advice for this bartender: don't frown at a beautiful & polite girl-no one likes you-go eat worms.”
“Good rock tunes, decent drink prices and cool people guarantee a good time, plus it's decorated like some movie star's home in the San Fernando Valley circa 1970.”
An unmarked, shadowy downward stairway known only to local partiers and rock fans.. A small dark room of bead curtains and velvet cushions resembles a scene right out of a 1970s basement apartment. Hazy candlelight reflects against brown and gold wallpaper and wall mirrors, setting the mood for groups squeezing onto couches in the rear as well as duos canoodling at tables. Bartenders supply the booze--during happy hour and well into the witching hours--as well as the beats, bringing their turntablist friends to spin nighttime rock sets that get the crowd going.
Ghosts?. Apparently (if you listen to the bartender) there's a ghost sporting blue overalls who hangs out in this dimly lit, underground bar. When I went there, I was sitting by these 3 tables that each had a lit candle in a glass on them, and one by one they all went out, starting from the one closest to the wall to the one closest to me. Pretty freaky. If you're feeling brave though, this place does have a decent buy-1-get-1 (or buy-2-get-1 if you don't make good with the bartender on the get-go) happy hour. Watch out for their regular Guns & Roses bashes, and of course, for any weirdo in blue overalls.
