Tasty things for vegans and vegetarians. Awesome place with all sorts of vegan replacements for traditional favorites - like the triple decker club, a "meatball" sandwich with Parmesan and sauce, and even a seitan Philly cheesesteak. There are also vegan brownies, crumb bars, and other baked goodies. I love that the menu has so many, many options for both vegetarians and vegans, including soy cheese, which you can add to any item. I've had the smoked tempeh wrap and the sesame "chicken" wrap, both of which were delicious, albeit a bit salty. My friends have had the cheesesteak and the hummus sandwich, which were also good. I've asked to have soy cheese and avocado added, and it wasn't a problem. I also like that the sandwiches come with a small side salad. The staff is nice and the service is really quick; they come and bring your order over to you. Once a friend and I went close to the end of the night and the guys working were a bit impatient (borderline rude) to get us and a few other patrons out of there, but I can understand that.

The space is open and sort of raw, with small, two-seater wooden tables and larger "communal" tables for laptop use, etc. I loved the simplicity of it, the almost barn-like feel, and the bookshelf they have against the wall crammed with books and things. It's never been too crowded and there are plenty of tables. For a vegan this is a really great place for coffee, food, and treats.

Great Menu!. Not sure what people are complaining about. $7 for a wrap or $8 for a sandwich in this town is a steal. You are in NYC. Try going down the block to Chelsea Market and spend less than 10 bucks for something that is that good. This place has a fantastic menu with healthy treats. Sure there are other healthy alternatives in the area but they are few and far between. I am not a vegetarian yet I go here because I like the menu and I feel great after eating here. I don't care that the guy behind the counter didn't kiss my **** before I purchased my food. I am there to get my healthy wrap and go back to the office so I don't have to eat at the 20 other horrible options around me.

Cute little shoppe. This is a great little "serve yourself" shoppe. The prices are fantastic. Very nice vegetarian/vegan food. My favorite is the curry cauliflower wrap, which is big enough to have for lunch and dinner. The cookies/cupcakes come in wheat-free options and are delicious. The daily side salads are great tasting and healthy as well.

Perfect place to spend your lunch break, hook up your laptop, or read a book.

Emperor's new vegetarian restaurant. This place is definitely like the emperor's new clothes. Food is way over-salted in pretty much any sandwich or wrap I've tried. And the coffee is not all that great and overpriced.(Only a granola bar I tried once was pretty good, hence the extra star.) And agree with other reviewers...you can often count on an eye-roll or a scowl to go with your coffee. Who knows why these people are in the service industry if they're so bitter? I guess if you're vegetarian/vegan and have few choices you'd have to force yourself to think this place was the coolest place around...but for the rest of us, we see it for what it is. Overrated, underwhelming, disappointing. Many other, better options around with better food and decent staff....

Great Cafe / Veg Snack. Great to have fresh-cooked vegetarian options while having coffee. Lot of regulars give it a local feel, but not too offputting. Overall solid. Really enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich made with seitan and soy cheese.

Great cafe!. I have been to 'Snice three times now. In general, I have found the staff to be fine. Not overly friendly, but not rude either. As one person said before, I don't think that you can expect much more than that these days. That being said, I think that the food is fantastic! I love the food choices that they offer. I have tried one of the salads and one of the wraps, and both were excellent. I know that my husband, a non-vegetarian, would love the food here as well. I haven't tried any of the treats yet, but they do look good. It is exciting to find a cafe serving mainly veggie and vegan food in a nice, bright open atmosphere. I think that the pricing is fair, knowing the cost of food these days. I actually think that their coffee prices are lower than normal. It was packed today when I arrived, so they must be doing something right.

NOT so 'SNice... 'SNarky. I'd have a lot of trouble returning to 'snice because of the snarky staff. The woman seem indifferent, which I am fine with, but the tall guy with the backwards cap has a REAL bad attitude. Details are irrelevant. I DON'T NEED TO BE MADE TO FEEL BAD BY COFFEE DUDE! To the point I felt uncomfortable. Begrudgingly, with instant regret, I even tipped him a dollar for a cup of coffee, no thanks of course (that is against the rules in the hipsters guide to being rude to people.) I've read several other reviews here and apparently this is a pattern and one the owner seems comfortable with. So, DO NOT GO THERE. Don't know if you have noticed, but there is no shortage of coffee places in NYC. Can't wait to see what goes in that place next. Food is fine, coffee is great. Atmosphere is perfect, just get rid of that guy and others that people have complained about! One star because coffee dude made my coffee taste sour today.

Bad times!. I am a fan of their coffee but not their lids. I am giving up on 'Snice for the main fact that heir coffee is on the higher side of the price scale and their coffee lids are cheap. every time I have attempted to get coffee from them the coffee has spilled all over me. I'm sure you could probably figure out where I work in relation to snice because of the coffee trail that I leave. It's just not cool to overcharge and then serve it to you in a cheap cup/lid combo. I also find their food to be a bit overrated... still tasty though.

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT IN MANHATTAN. When I say Snice is my favorite place to eat, I am not joking. I would rather eat at Snice then any number of pricey Vegan eateries. It is a casual counter service place with the world's most amazing simple vegan and vegetarian food. Amazing sandwiches, and salads, burritos, breakfast food, so far I haven't had anything I haven't liked. Also very Kid friendly, great desserts including amazing vegan cupcakes, vegan ice cream cookie sandwiches, cookies, shakes. Other vegan/vegetarian places get a bit extreme omitting all refined sugar and flour, but Snice is a healthy balance of meatless, and tasty comfort food. They use white bread with some of the sandwiches, but it is high quality french bread, I am sure if you wanted only wheat you could get it. You can take a meat eater, and they will still leave happy. My only complaint is that they took my favorite sandwich off the menu, the Nicose sandwich it was true heaven on this planet. And of course they have take out, so if you are in the area you can always bring a little Snice home.

Mmmmmm. I am neither vegan nor a vegetarian. So much so that my girlfriend was and I converted her to be a carnivore. But at times she will bring me to restaurants like this.

I was very happy that she did! The food is great! Service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is hip and comfortable.

I may not convert, but I will eat here again and again and again?
