Fondue is fun for family – My Family of 4 dines there once a month and orders the same french gruyere cheese fondue evertime. This tastes amazingly like the classic french onion soup when you dip the freshly sliced bread. For dinner we get the magic feast I have the spinach ravioli and the beef while my wife and daughters enjoy the chicken and the shrimp with the plethera of sauces to pick from. All are good & fun to try but the pesto for the ravioli is by far the best. The chocolate fondue is a must to save room for. My wife and I like to try different ones every time we go but our favorite is the campfire where the milk chocalate is mixed with gram crackers & marshmellows. There's nothing better than dipping strawberries & bananas into the campfire. We love this place & can't say enough about it.
Overpriced, dishonest and greedy – Hadn't eaten at this restaurant for a couple of years and couldn't remember why. Ate there again a couple of weeks ago and remembered why we will NEVER go back:
1) Prices are very high for the quality and variety of the food. Easily $40 per person for dinner. Just not worth it.
2) Menu is dishonest. As an example, they say they use more expensive "gruyere" cheese. We tasted it and it tasted just like shredded swiss chesse from Kraft. Confirmed with waitress that indeed it is swiss cheese and not gruyere. They are not one and the same.
3) Waitress recommended we use one of their "special broths" for the meat course. Didn't tell us it was a $6-8 surcharge. Can assure you it was not worth the uptick.
4) The fondue dessert is a scam. For dunking in the chocolate, they give you half a marshmallow (literally) cut up, a half a brownie, and 1 strawberry cut into quarters (literally). It is designed to run out quickly at which point they upsell you a supplemental dessert plate for another few dollars. Really nice!
Stay away from this restaurant. It is over priced, dishonest and just not that great. Greed doesn't work.
Don't do it – Yuck. The Fondue Cheese appetizer was made at our table and looked like shredded kraft cheese. It was supposedly made with a cilatro mix with roasted peppers but was clearly just cheese and some sort of clear broth. We tried to order a dish with pork in it, but they were out of pork. The dish we ordered came with an asian chili dipping sauce, but when it arrived at our table, we had no chili sauce but a dill sauce instead. Then we asked where the chili sauce was and they said they didn't have any more. Then I ordered a lemon with my drink, but they didn't have any lemons either.
Very crappy service, crappy food and they were out of everything!!! - I liked the cooking yourself and the fact that you could sit and chat while you cooked your own food, but everything about the place was disappointing. Good idea for a restaurant, just needs better everything else!!!
