Editorial Review for Epstein's Bar – by Kara Zuaro
The Scene
With sports fans glued to the flat-screen TV behind the bar and candlelit leather banquets along the wall, it's hard to tell what type of crowd this corner drinking hole is trying to attract. But there shouldn't be any confusion about its name: Despite its highly unappetizing pun on Epstein-Barr, the virus behind mononucleosis, it's actually a tribute to "Welcome Back Kotter's" fun-loving Puerto Rican Jew, Warren Epstein--a hero of the bar's owners.
The Draw
The mixed clientele noshes on inexpensive, juicy burgers--made from the same meat as Corner Bistro's--along with an odd sampling of snacks, from rich French onion soup to from-the-freezer mozzarella sticks. The house brew, Epstein's Ale, is a bit watery, but a Stella draft, always priced at $2, makes a fine alternative. The bar is at its best in the warmer weather, when patrons can forego the dark interior for breezy sidewalk seating.

Epstein’s offers the best happy hour in town. Buy one beer full price and get the rest of your beers for full price. I wouldn’t take my worst enemy to this place. The only way you can enjoy a place like Epstein’s is if you drink at a real bar beforehand & go their trashed. Even then your one sober buddy might kick you in the junk for picking such a poor excuse for a place where you go to drink away your problems. Go there if you are trying not to get "some" or looking for a lame night! Also the night we went I think there was a Star Wars intervention going on.
Pros: The bar I went to before this one
Cons: They were Zagot rated

Food is Garbage! Drinks are watered down! Bar tenders and Waitresses are lazy. I am pretty sure I saw the manager steal someones wallet.
Pros: when I left the place
Cons: Everything from when I walked in the door until I left.
