Glad we decided to stop by this spot!. The last time I came to crime scene it was full of drunken frat boys. Now it is a hip place. I read about the change on citysearch and I had to see it to believe it. Gone was the beer pong and low end crowd. It had all been replaced by hot women. And not only that they are the kind that youd bring home to mom. This place has me as a repeat customer for sure! HOT Hot HOT! LMB1

This place is awesome now!. I used to come to this place when it was crime scene and let me tell you, though it may still technicaly have that name it is a completely different place. It is now upscale, really hot spot. I went with my girlfriends and all of them had a blast as well. If you want to have a good time and drink in a classy environment, go to the new crime scene.

Editorial Review. A former neighborhood dive gets a new look, a new clientele, and a stringent new door policy to match.

Not bad, Beer pong!. I've been here several times over several weeks and i enjoy the place. The thing that really drew me back was the beer pong. Bring some friends on a quieter night and play some beer pong.

The crowds are pretty random, usually crowded after 10PM on weekends but dead or very few people before that and on week days. They have several beer pong tables, one set up most of the time, a pool table, some trivia games, and some game on the wall.

The beer selection is decent, with around 10 taps with decent stuff, and some other beers in bottles. The mixed drinks are in small glasses and last time i went..not too strong, i would stick with the beer.

The place is pretty big, with a bar up front and tables in the back, the bar stools are falling apart though, and i swear somebody is going to get impaled on one sooner or later. The decor is ...crimescene related... and interesting to say the least. Music is very loud every time i went, usually later at night, and quieter when there are less people. Not really a good place to talk, but it does get crowded usually at 11pm on the weekends and there are people dancing in the back.

Overall not a bad place, they serve food if you get hungry, the prices are a bit on the high side for mixed drinks and food, but the beer is affordable for a pint. I would reccomend going there if you just want to hang with friends when its quieter. All in all not a bad place.

Not the Same Old Crime Scene...much better!. I went to the new Crime Scene last night and was simply blown away with the change. Not that it wasnt cool before, but now it's beyond cool. It's sleek and new. A lot like Mannahatta that closed just a few doors down. I brought a crowd of 5 friends from out of town and they were so happy that there was so many girls!

fun, TV games. went with some friends on a Tuesday night. we were the only ones at the bar. but we were able to play the TV/computer trivia games. So that was fun. the drinks were really cheap. it was an okay time if you go with friends. dont expect to meet other people though on a weekday night. it was empty

There must be nicer crime scenes in NYC to visit!. I'm not sure where to start with this review. However, pointing out that the bar's name is something of a misnomer seems a good start: there's not 1 crime scene, but 2! The first is the daylight robbery perpertraited by the 'lady' manning mandatory coat check at the door on the way in whereby $2 is demanded of you at verbal gunpoint. The second is something the trading standards dept might be interested in as I struggled to imagine how this place could be billed as a bar: it was dreadful. And as for for Bud light, I'd be happy to us it tofill a tank and allow my goldfish to swim in it such was it's weakness.

Still, Tony, the manageress/NY PA system, was amusing to watch.

God bless the pubs of England from whence I came.

Expensive Drinks, Very Boring!!!. I was at Crime Scene on a Saturday night and the place was dead. There were maybe 4 other people besides me in the bar. The drinks were very expensive, $5 for a bottle of domestic beer!! There are several bars in the area that charge far less. There was a DJ providing the music who played mostly 80's music. The music wasn't bad, it was just not an exciting place to hang out. There's a lounge space in the back of the bar that was empty. The bartenders were friendly though, that's probably the only positive thing I can say about Crime Scene. Don't waste your hard earned money here though, and from the looks of the lack of people in the place, not many people do waste their time here. Go to 2 by 4 or Doc Holidays for a MUCH MUCH better atmosphere, more fun, and cheaper drinks.

What a Blast!!!. If you are not up for the usual NYC over-packed, over-priced, bars with attitude than Crime Scene is perfect for you. Pure Fun!!!! My girlfriends and I were walking by and just popped in. What started as an innocent drink turned into dancing on the bar at 1AM with the staff. The owner Tonya is a riot. A screenwritter couldn't have written a more lively, sweet, bad-ass. The DJ played everything from rock, to 80s, to hip-hop. The place is a playground for 20 somethings. From beer pong-to pool this place makes it easy to meet the cool, laid-back crowd within. ROCK ON TONYA....SEE YOU SOON!!!!!!
