this place is amazing. It's easy to get to and from the moment you walk in, you feel comfortable and welcomed. I have been to my share of salons in NYC and Brooklyn, and there seems to be this snotty vibe going on from the $50 hair cut to the $400 hair salon - you won't find any of that here. So, I had a fabulous time with my stylist, had an amazing consultation of what exactly i wanted to get done, she did exactly what i wanted was the best cut I have had in a long long time. As I paid I found out LANA was actually the owner, and it made me love HER and my hair even more. I finally found a place I can go back to and be happy about. I HIGHLY suggest trying them out. you definitely will not regret it!!!! thank you

I went to Shear Bliss, as a walk-in, in desperate need of someone to fix a color job gone wrong at another salon. I have difficult, curly hair, with lots of grey and needed help with texture and color. As anyone who has searched for a really good salon in New York will tell you, it can be a real adventure. Having just moved to the City, I was looking for a salon "home" and I've found it! I went to two other salons before this one, (one forgot my appointment entirely and no apology after waiting 25 minutes for the stylist to show up and the other, well they left the splotch on top of my head -- enough said!) and walked into several and walked out again after seeing their lackluster stylists and dirty floors.

Lana happened to have a re-scheduled appointment and she was able to get me right in for some pretty extensive work. I needed real color help. I had been left with partial highlights and a black splotch on top of my head by another salon. Seeing Lana's certifications on the wall about her expertise in color, as well as her friendly reassurance that she would fix it all, set my mind at ease.

I am thrilled with my hair! I have the most beautiful, subtle caramel colored highlights and we managed to get a brazilian keratin blow-out treatment done at the same appointment. This would have taken all day at another salon, but they have a wonderful system with two stylists working in tandem so that the brazilian was done in ONE HOUR! Amazing.

Plus, the place is gorgeous, don't laugh, but I judge salons by their appearance (and the ladies room) and this one was beautiful! Clean, everyone was nice and the prices, oh my dear, they were great. Plus, first-time client discounts.

They really listened to me, made recommendations, checked my comfort level constantly and generally made me feel like I have found my salon "home" in Midtown.

Thanks to Lana and crew for a terrific experience.

i must say, from all the salons I've been through, nothing can compare to Shear Bliss. Great Service, Professional Staff, and UNBEATABLE PRICES! . I highly recommend anyone to try it ! Trust me, you wont regret it. The best part is, you dont need to request anyone specifically because all the stylists do an incredible job!!!! SHEAR BLISS IS THE BEST!!

The woman who does eyebrows is great, and very kind.

I had a bad experience with my hair, however. I came in to get my hair dyed, and brought pictures. I was also very clear about what I was looking for. But instead of a light golden red, I got ash brown with zebra strip highlights.

I came in the next day to get it corrected (something I have never, ever done), and was told that I would be charged more $$ only *after* they had done a test strip (so if I would have said no, I would have a weird stripe in my hair). My hair isn't hideous now, but it's dark and looks nothing like the light color I had asked for.

Great salon! These are the real deal. You get bumble and bumble quality for a fraction of the cost. Highly recommend!

AMAZINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!. Amazinggg. I refer all of my friends here for a reason. I've been to many hair salons in ktown..jtown..queens (you name it..i've been there sort of thing) to get the right color/cut, but Shear Bliss beats them all with their professionalism and personal service.

I get my color and cut done by Lana .She is probably the first one to get the hair color that I wanted right (aka dark maple chocolate feel)..without bleaching my hair 3-4 times )..

And I noticed that my hair was growing out much more nicely..

Amazing Salon and Service!. I've been to a lot of salons in Manhattan and I have to say that yours is the best one. The service is good, its not expensive, and you get an amazing job out of it. You can actually make friends with the staff. I got my last couple of colors and cuts with Lana and they were really professional. I'm going to go back there soon. See you then!

Very Happy. Thank you Lana. I think I have been to every salon in NY ! But my search is over ,I tried this Salon (i admit a little reluctantly) after a few of my co workers suggested it. Got my color with Lana and cut . I couldnt be more pleased with my hair. She was very professional and really listened to what I wanted but best of all she actually delivered on what was promised. The price is half of what I normally pay for mediocre results So now I feel like I won the hair lottery.

Christine is the best. My hair was dry and damaged but I also like my highlighted hair. So after Christine gave me the most beautiful highlights, she gave me the brazilian keratin treatment. My hair has never looked better thank you so much. I love it.

Excellent Service! Great Job!. Great service i would say. I walked in as a walk in. No appointment. They took me even though it was pretty early(half an hour before opening). But she (Lana) was very sweet and very professional. I enjoyed the service and my hair. Very happy, highly recommend.
