I was a walk-in on a weekday afternoon and there were only a handful of people in the salon. The service was good and a wash/cut/blowdry was pretty quick. It was pretty standard and there were no real problems, but as a first-time customer, I brought in pictures of exactly how I wanted my hair. My hair is very fine and I requested it to be cut all the same length, with some bangs in the front, but the hairdresser (who had thick curly hair--the opposite of mine) really tried to convince me to get layers throughout. I've made the mistake of being talked into that before, so I insisted on what I came for and she finally did it, although she still didn't cut the bangs so I had to trim several inches off myself when I got home. I was also harangued to buy a bunch of salon products which I didn't need. For $75, it wasn't super expensive and I was fairly satisfied, but for all the hassle and the fact that I've gotten better cuts for half the price, I'm still looking for a better salon to frequent.

I had just started working in the midtown area for about a month now and happen to walk by bon bon salon on my lunch break. I looked inside and saw the stylist working on their clients. I walked in asking when was the next avilable appointment. The receptionist informed me that the stylist would be free in about 5 min and walked me over to get shampooed after a relaxing shampoo from there assistant the stylist was ready for me. She blew out my hair in 25 min and did a remarkable job. Thanks bon- bon for making me look beautiful on my lunch break.
