low key, no pretensions, nice and dark. This is a low key, off-the-beaten path, no pretensions Hell's Kitchen bar. It seems to have a great staff, very low key and accommodating. I live a block away and this place always fits the bill when i don't want to stress myself "going out", I just want to sit in a dark bar with a drink and catch up with a few friends, and actually hear what they're saying. It's one of the few places where you have a really good chance of getting a barstool, even if you roll in at 11. If you've had a long day and just want to sit down, there are sofas all around. It's not divey, but it is pretty dark, which I find really relaxing. The only thing I'm not keen on is that there are four TVs (silent sound though)d, but do understand the business reasons for having sports on.

Great atmosphere and tasty drinks. The back room is perfect for a party. The music is great. I enjoyed the cocktails as well. It's far from the subway though.

You gotta luv this place!. Wether you are in the mood to belly up to the bar by yourself or hang out with friends in their rear cozy alcove, it's a guarantee that someone will strike up a conversation with you...most likely the friendly bar staff and owners, if not the other patrons (usually both). They have a superb list of specialty martinis concocted by their master mixologis 'Jenny ' and a dam good sellection of beer on tap....I'm talking real beer! one of these days I will be able to walk out of this bar without bouncing off the side of the walls.....whom I kidding! Anyways, for good bar with good booze, good music, a great staff and down-to-earth friendly regulars, I highly recommend it. Great place to hang, to bring a date (you can actually hear yourself talk) or just watch a game.

GREAT Lounge-y Pub!. We have been going here since it opened and have NEVER been disappointed! The crowd is always friendly and the staff is always warm and VERY accommodating. It's a great place to throw a party!! New Year's Eve is always a BLAST here! I highly recommend this place...it's worth checkin' out!!

chillin'. Great vibe, great place to go if you're looking to chill out . It's perfect: you can relax, have fun, listen to some music and have some of the best drinks in town. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a nice night on the town, my friends and I always feel right at home when we go.

Great Energy. I love this place! It is the perfect combination of a classy, sophisticated lounge and your favorite local pub. The overall energy is great, and I think that has a lot do with the staff. They are all just really down to earth and friendly. I always know I'm going to have a great night out if I choose Perdition!

Great Atmosphere, Yummy Drinks!!!. This place is perfect! It has such a nice atmosphere...from the cozy loungy tables to the gorgeous bar, you feel comfortable anywhere you hang in this place. My friends and I discovered this bar/lounge a couple years ago and we fell in love. Their drinks are so creative and yummy as well as their food menu. Perfect place for a party or just a night out. I lived all the way downtown on the east side and I still feel it is worth the trip to frequent this awesome bar!!!

great beer and cocktails........ and very descreet!!!. i've only been in this place a handfull of times, mainly at "happy hour" time, the bartender (British ..i think) veyr forthcoming, funny and good looking!!. for a place thats located in midtown west and as "loungy" it is, it's quite a local bar! i'm very surprised that they are as cheap and relaxed accompanied with good drinks.

perfect place for "celebs" as i've seen them to hang out and be comfortable. If you want to be descreet or just have a great choice of beer and cocktails this place is pretty damn decent!! what more can i say??!!

i know my film crew will come here again!

Quality spot. Perdition is a great place. Always an interesting selection on tap, and the use of a Kilkenny Tap System keeps the beer cold and fresh. I'm not a cocktail drinker, so I can't comment on them, but I'm told Jenny is a master mixologist. The whole staff, Jenny, Jeff, Scottie, Jess and Sean (who I've known for twenty plus years and at least half a dozen bars) are very friendly and talented bartenders and hosts. The space is good, too. Sort of lounge-like inside the front door, it turns to more tradidional pub (with a cosmopolitan flair) by the bar, then back to lounge again as you pass the DJ booth to the back, where there are several well-defined and private seating areas. And...you've got to go downstairs and check out the bathrooms. I know this sounds ridiculous, but in a city where many bars have very crappy (pun intended) restrooms, the care that went into the design of the facilities at Perdition is indicative of the care that went into the design of the entire place.

The only drawback is there's not much else on Tenth Avenue...however, that's changiing rapidly. In another three or four years, Tenth will be as busy or busier than Ninth is today. Get in on the Tenth Avenue trend and try Perdition today.

best draft beer in the universe and great food to go along with the beer!!!!!!!!!. this is a great place to have a drink with a friend.the people behind the bar ,ash ,jennie,sean,are the greatest.try this place once and you will be back again and again.i would give it a five star rating.
