Before and After. Today is April 02,2011, I purchased a package at Bare and was treated by Max. I had few areas treated at Bare and what a difference. It's truly a life changing experience. I've been to other laser places and very disappointing, but few friends of mine swore that Bare is great at doing what they do, and their staff is amazing, and I totally agree. I absolutely recommend that place, because now I am hairless with a beautiful smooth skin.

GREAT PLACE. FOUND OUT ABOUT BARE BEAUTY FROM THERE MANHATTAN LOCATION. I RECENTLY MOVED INTO ASTORIA AND I TRANSFERED MY PACKAGE.

FIRST OFF, THE TWO LOCATION ARE NOTHING ALIKE. ITS SO CRAZY AND HECTIC AND PARDON MY FRENCH RUDE IN MANHATTAN. ASTORIA IS MORE FRIENDLY AND RELAXED.

SINCE STEPPING INTO BARE BEAUTY, THE MANAGER MARGARITTA HAS MADE IT HER BUSINESS TO MAKE MY EXPERIENCE THERE A PLEASANT ONE. LITTLE THINGS LIKE REMEMBERING MY NAME EVERYTIME I COME IN AND OFFERING ME SOME WATER WHILE I WAIT. (I NEVER GOT THAT FROM THE OTHER LOCATION AND I HAD BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS.) SHE ALSO WATCHED MY SON WHILE I GOT TREATED AND THIS LAST TIME I WAS THERE SHE OVERHEARD HIM SAY TO ME HE WAS HUNGRY SO SHE GAVE HIM A HEALTHY GRANOLA BAR TO EAT WHILE HE WAITED. THATS SO SWEET. NOT MANY PEOPLE WILL DO THINGS LIKE THAT. SMALL THINGS LIKE THAT MAKE YOU FEEL APPRECIATED AND MAKES YOU WANT TO SPEND MONEY EVEN IF THEY ARE A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE THEN OTHER PLACES.

THEN THERE IS THE LASER STAFF. DANIELLE AND MAX ARE BOTH SPECTACULAR TECHNICIANS. THEY BOTH HAVE TREATED ME AND HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB. I GET MY FULL FACE DONE AND EVEN THOUGH I KNOW ITS NOT GONNA BE 100% REMOVAL IT IS A BIG BIG DIFFERENCE THEN WHAT I USE TO HAVE. (THE FACE IS HORMONAL) THEY ARE VERY KNOWLEDGABLE. ALL OF THEM. NOT ONLY THE TECHS BUT MARGARITTA AND HER BROTHER WHO ALSO WORKS THERE. SO ITS NICE TO KNOW THEY ALL KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.

PLUS MAX AND DANIELLE TALK TO YOU IN THE ROOM AS THEY TREAT YOU. THEY TAKE THE TIME AND MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IMPORTANT. DOESNT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF YOU PAID 50 OR 5000. I HAVE NEVER BEEN RUSHED OUT SO THE ROOM CAN BE USED FOR MORE "IMPORTANT" CLINETS.

OVERALL BARE BEAUTY NOT ONLY MAKES YOU FEEL WELCOME BUT THE RESULTS I HAVE GOTTEN ARE MORE THAN I COULD HAVE HOPED FOR. I AM SO HAPPY HOW MUCH OF IMPROVEMENT IT IS. I CRY EVERYTIME I LOOK AT MY FACE AND REMEMBER WHAT IT ONCE WAS. IM GONNA START DOING MY LEGS THIS WEEK SINCE THEY ARE OFFERING ME A SPECIAL PRICE.

IF THEY COULD HIRE PEOPLE LIKE THIS STAFF IN MANHATTAN THEN THEY COULD HAVE 2 LOCATION WITH GREAT MANAGEMENT AND GREAT TECHNICIANS!!!!

Great Results. Came here for laser hair removal, got my legs treated by Max. Great results, haven't shaved in months. Prices are very reasonable, especially after speaking with the manager, who offered me a great discount. Highly recommend to anyone who doesn't want to shave anymore. Thanx Bare Beauty.

Not So Bad After All. * UPDATE: Since posting this review, Bare Beauty has apologized and offered to make the situation right.

I went here because of several reviews I had read and what seemed like a great deal. Towards the end of my sessions for underarm and bikini, I started to notice that my underarm hair was being stubborn. I mentioned it to the "specialist" and he didn't really seem to take note (by the way, although he's sweet, he's just a young college student). He blamed me for being in the sun or something to that extent, which was not the case at all. About a month after my last session, my underarm hair grew back completely. It was as if I never even got laser hair removal at all. I called Bare Beauty to ask what they would do in situations like this and they just said, "We hope for the best during/after the sessions, but there's nothing we can do. But, you can come back for half off". They essentially wanted me to shell out another $500-$700 and I guess, hope for the best again. No, thank you. If this happened in a salon, they would have offered to redo their services for free, especially since I've spent over several thousand dollars at this establishment. The least they could do is offer a complimentary session. I liked the staff here and I’m truly disappointed that they would not offer to try to correct the situation. Next time, I'll go to a professional place with better customer service and is not in the middle of nowhere.

Even better then going to an MD. I have gotten a few laser treatment from a DR office in the city... which wasnt bad but very expensive. So i looked up some local places in Astoria where I live and BB was the first place I saw. Made an appointment, had a consultation with Jasmine... btw she is beautiful, polite and most important made me feel sooooo comfortable. She made sure she got every hair possible.Very happy with my treatments and I highly recommend jasmine and bare beauty. Plus i read a few reviews re: the cons being that its on the 2nd floor.... honestly i thought it was better then ground floor b/c no one was able to see me sitting at the front filling out paper work and knowing my business!!!! Make your appointment today before summer!!!!

im very excited. I have pcos and as a result i have facial hair. Max was very informative when i called today, and has alot of experience with ladies who also have this condition.

I havent been there yet... my appointment is scheduled for tomorrow. prices are resonable. Dont think about it. make your call just like i did.

I will let you know how it goes. Wish me luck :)

My Face. I am a transitioning man into a woman. Had a consultation with Max for my laser hair removal procedure, very professional guy that knows what he is doing. I bought a face package, not expensive at all, and I will buy more in the future for other areas. Max was the one that did my treatments, he is fast, never missed a hair, and not even once I experienced any sorts of burns, which laser forums has so many people talking about their laser burns from other laser places. Last week I had my last treatment from my package, and my face looks like I never had any facial hairs, and you can not even tell that I used to be a man that had to shave everyday. My skin feels so soft, and everyone gives me a compliment of how good my face looks, and most importantly now I look younger, and this is all from a laser, thank you Max. Woman's dreams come true.

My Review. I have been a client of BB for over 2 years. I came in to get my private areas lasered because my ingrown situation was really bad. A year prior to doing laser in 2006, few of my ingrown hairs got infected so I had to surgically remove them, procedure was very expensive and left me with horrible scars, but new ingrown hairs started appearing, and that is when I came to BB in 2007, because I read online that laser removes ingrown hairs. I had my consultation with Max, sweet knowledgeable guy, and he had me sold for all the promises that the laser can offer. I started my treatments with Daniela (amazing technician), so silly of me but I felt more comfortable being with a female at first, plus every time I came in Max was always treating. BB is a pretty busy place, but you never have to wait for your appointment, and that I liked so much. I finished my brazilian with Daniela, and I still love my results. I came back a year later and had my legs consultation with such a sweetheart Jasmine, and later on I added my arms, pricing is very reasonable, plus they offer more ways to save. One time I had to reschedule my appointment, by the way Margarita is the one that's at the front desk, she is a very pleasant person, so the only day that I could have come in was the day that Max had a slot available, so I took it. Wow I was so silly regarding picking females just because I am one, everyone there is great, and Max made me feel very comfortable, he takes your attention away from laser by talking to you, oh and makes me laugh every time. I finished my laser treatments with him, and it has been almost 6 months for my legs and arms, and almost 2 years for my brazilian since I had it done, no more ingrown hairs (yeeha), my skin has changed into so much better, all of my areas feel and look as if I have never had any hairs there. The place is beautiful and always so clean, staff is very professional and they have amazing knowledge when it comes to laser, hair and skin. I am a satisfied customer.

John is Hair Free.. I am one of those people that doesn't believe in a lot of new technology out there. I have done laser previously, but never did it the right way, just like waxing I did laser, so only when my hair showed. I called Bare Beauty and spoke to Max, and he advised that I come in for the free consultation. I did, and he is a very smart guy, knows what he is doing. I did not do it right away just because i wanted to do a package, but i did it few days later. Wow, what a difference. I bought a package because Max advised that I do so, so that they will be on top of my treatments, and I would get results that way. Amazing, he was fast, and he kept on talking to me so that I do not pay attention to the laser. My back right now is hairless, and in few days I have a touch up with him, but he did such a good job that I have nothing to touch up. I can honestly believe that I will be hair free, because how he works with laser is completely different than what I experienced before. Just want to pass the words to the owners of Bare Beauty, great selection of staff and amazing machines. Thank you

No Bueno on Staff personality. My initial appointment was with Jasmine but had a schedulling conflict so I called to reschedule and got Max on the phone. He advised me that I should allow him to treat me because he had been in the business longer and is better than Jasmine. Reluctantly, I rescheduled my appointment with Max. I wasn't crazy about the space but that's not why I was there. Max is the most unprofessional person offering a service that I've ever dealt with. It's unfortunate because I was extremely happy with the results but refuse to spend more money at an establishment that hires such big mouthed jerks.
