“The beer is good, the food is just so so”
“Beer is good but food is not.”
“Good Food but very bad service.”
“price is reasonable.”
New York City's most famous landmark, the Empire State Building, now houses New York's number one brewery, a two-story 450-seat Heartland equipped with two large bars and four giant flat-screen TV's. Our full-service restaurant breathes new life into an area overrun with fast food chains. More than just a watering hole with great beer, we offer both visitors and locals excellent food and a feeling of home that only Heartland can offer. Tip: try the Honey Citrus Rotisserie Chicken and St. Louis style ribs while downing a few pints of Smiling Pumpkin Ale, then step up to Farmer Jon's dessert showcase and watch Heartland's first doughnut robot in action. …
Beer and a Burger. Two weeks ago I found myself traipsing off to the Statue of Liberty as a tour guide to hillbilly relatives. Found ourselves hungry and grouchy standing in front of the Heartland Brewery so we went in for lunch,. Got to say beer was excellent and burger--well was nothing special but a tasty burger. Prices not too bad. Would definitely eat and drink here again.
Great Restaurant. Initially thought it would be a tourist trap, being at the base of the Empire State building. But to my surprise it had great atmosphere and the service from our male waiter (I forgot his name) about 5"-9", good looking, nice build with brown hair and eyes was great. The food was also excellent. Would go back in a minute.
one of the best in the tri-state area. Definitely one of the best breweries in the tri-state area - the selection and the food are fantastic
Harvest Wheat and a Steak Medallion Sandwich. Basement is the place to eat. The service was friendly and attentive with out being overbearing. The food was incredible, the beer was good.
Brew and Grub in Heart of NYC. Looking for a place to entertain your clients that epitomizes NYC, yet, still serves quality food?? Then, stop by Heartland for a quick bite to eat and make sure you try one of their brews. Probably not ideal to have a beer on your lunch break, but, it's perfect for an after-work meetup. Located on the same block as the Empire State Building, my friends and I stopped by for some grub one early evening. The hustle and bustle of tourists makes it perfect for people-watching... I enjoy their craft brewskis and gulf shrimp wonton appetizers while my friends enjoy a nicely prepared dirty martini. Something to try is definitely their Steak Frites if you're up for some touristy prices. I'll go back for more, most importantly when I have clients in the city!
Rip-Off. Count your drinks and check your bill. Make sure they don’t double charge you, that’s what they’re famous for. Don’t pay an additional 18% gratuity for 2 people. They're tourist trap. Don’t waste your money on them.
Nice Restaurant but Food is Disappointing. The service was okay, but the food was not. I hope they work on improving their dishes. The manager was very kind and took back our orders and did not charge us. We most likely will not return.
Horrible. The worse restaurant in NYC. Why bother. They're all tourist traps. Managers are extremely arrogant, especially the GM.
Excellent Food & Beer. I've been to this Heartland location a few times. Very good food(burgers, apps, etc.) and EXCELLENT beer. I especially like the Oatmeal Stout. The service is always good as well.
Ugh Pretty bad. Too bad about the food. It's borderline grotesque. And like an idiot I keep going back. Each time is just as bad. Staff is real nice though. But the food should be considered criminal
