  1. Fun ambiance, not great quality manicure
  2. Although the ultra girly and very cute design of Dashing Diva is fun, it's not much for comfort.
  3. have been going to the Dashing Diva for years now, and I love the service, decor and all the special charm they add to the place.
  4. It's a fun place to go with your girlfriends with old Britney Spears music videos playing on the flat screens.
  5. WOW was the decor fun to look at and also, I was given a free cosmo martini while I got my manicure.
  6. The benches you sit in for your pedicure are not comfortable.

value
50.0% positive
  1. For a regular manicure, DD is rather expensive and also below average quality.
  2. price was good for manhattan.
  3. When I got home my puppy's tooth slid across the nail leaving a huge gash in the polish.
  4. Virtual Nails are rather pricey, though, so I'd recommend getting them only for a very special occasion.

Very clean, pedis last well

by citysearchreviews

I started going here in Summer '10 after reading about the hygiene practices. This location lives up to the hype -- the sinks are cleaned after every customer, and every customer gets a fresh emery board, buffing block and toe separators (I've only had a pedicure here). You can bring these three tools home with you to bring back next time, which helps prevent waste, or get a fresh set every time. All the tools are fresh and sealed. The technician sanitizes your feet and her hands. I always get a basic pedi, though they offer a range of fun styles. My pedi has always lasted a full month, at which time I usually go right back because by then my nails have started to grow out and a chip or two will appear in the polish. I agree with other reviewers that the cost is a little higher than other places (I pay $35 for a basic pedi), but it's worth it to be safe and to be a in fun, clean environment.

Best Nail Salon in NYC

by putzi2

I have been coming to this salon ever since it opened. In fact, I started coming here before all the hype on tv and in the magazines about Dashing Diva because I live a few blocks away. Although the prices are higher than the typical neighbourhood salon, their pedicures are equivalent to what you get (maybe even slightly better) at Bliss or The Red Door, and for less money. They are obsessed with hygiene and sanitation, and in this era of the H1V1 virus, it pays to be extra cautious in that regard. Although they get a lot of celebrities (my friend saw Beyonce there in September!), they treat everybody like they are VIPs, which i really appreciate. quite well.

  • Pros: Cleanest, hippest, coolest nail salon in NYC
  • Cons: Gets a little crowded on weekends

A Little Expensive, but worth the price

by EG1942

I get pedicures here as a little treat to myself. They last beautifully and the experience is relaxing and stress free. I recommend this salon to friends and have never heard negative feedback. The price is a bit higher than some salons but it is worth it for the atmosphere.

  • Pros: Clean, Smells nice, Lovely staff
  • Cons: a little expensive
