go to crystal. Crystal has lots of experience and training. Is obsessed with skin. She will point out an underlining blemish and can coach you on why (other than lack of facials) certain areas are more prone to breakouts by relating them to different organs in the body. . She knows the background an heaps of different lines is interested in her work and honest. If she recommended a product to me I would give it a try for sure. I know she cares about my skin as much or more than I do. Hydra is a really nice spa too not just about skin care also about relaxation. Be Pampered

DEXTOX WRAP A+++. Went to Spa Hydra for Spa Week, had a detox wrap which was amazing! It was my first detox wrap, and Leah made me feel comfortable. Clean spa, and would go back again! Couldn't find the steam room? Said online they had one, but forgot to ask

Best valentines present...EVER!. My fiance surprised me with a massage on valentines day at this spa. I was blown away! The facility is beautiful, but the massage was hands down outstanding! WOW. My treatment began on time, and although the spa was busy on this particular day, I was able to unwind and relax pre treatment. Afterwards, I enjoyed a nice steam shower and even tried some of the delicious teas they serve out front.

I will def. be back.!!

Pure Sanctuary. This spa is my sanctuary. I visit the girls once a month for beauty treatments like manis and waxing, but today was my first "spa" treatment. I chose to try the signature massage and scrub duo. It was pure bliss! My experience at this spa is always great, but today I felt exceptionally wonderful. The spa is very warm and cozy and my robe was nice and toasty too. The candlelit room and aromatherapy in the air was a nice introduction and the hot cup of tea after my treatment was the cherry on top. The massage therapist, Poi, was excellant! She knew her stuff and her hands just put me straight to sleep. The ladies up front are always pleasant and I look forward to many more visits at this beautiful space.

Thanks spahydra!

Thee BEST Facials this side of the Sound!. zen galore amidst clean modern relaxation...that sums it up. the lovely blonde who did my facial, sheehan, really knew her stuff. from looking at her porcelain skin, I knew she was my girl, and I left completely glowing with youthful, dewy, soft, skin. She told me how to reduce the look of larger pores, recommended products to enhance my glow, and attack my T-zone oiliness, which is my problem area, and her calming facial massage even made my constant sinus pressure feel good. she has the magic touch for sure. I have been back 3 times, and will continue my skin care regime in Sheehan's hands. thanks SPAHYDRA!

do yourself a favor and treat yourself!!

Oxygen facial left me glowing for days..... I must say that this spa always delivers results. Everytime I have had a facial here, I have always seen a difference in my skin. I get facials almost every 3 months and this time, I agreed to try the new Luzern organic facial that they have added to there menu. One word to describe the results: WOW. The facial was quiet different that then what I was usually getting (just a good old basic facial). Each step and each product she used on my skin felt wonderfully refreshing and the results at the end were so well worth it. My skin automatically felt tighter and when I looked in the mirror, my complexion was just glowing. I did try the products she recommended for home use (not all; cause facial was kind of pricy, but the serums she recommended have really improved my skin). Its been 5 days since my facial and I am so happy I still have my glow!

I'll take a great massage over a brownie anyday!. I love this place. I really dont care if they serve fruit or brownies, that's really not what I want to be spending my money on, anyway. The massages are consistantly fantastic, and truly not that expensive if you compare other spas in the city. ($85 for a classic swedish).

I love the atmosphere and the staff. They are always super friendly. I have seen many ammenities in their locker room, like lotion and shampoo, which have been to my disposal. Plus the steam and sauna have been on when I have visited.

I really enjoy visiting this spa and will always brag about how wonderful each of my visits are.

pretty good, but lacking in polish. I had a 60min massage, and it was really pretty good. About 20minutes in, she asked if the pressure was ok and responded well when i told her my preference.

1.____________

My concern is the amenities: they market a wet/dry spa, both of theich they have; however, they do not keep them on all the time--you must turn them on yourself. Now I'm all for this (saving energy, etc); however, if I need to turn it on myself, they should provide specific directions as to where the switches are (under the rock/heater contraption in the dry sauna/bottom circular thingy in the wet sauna).

2._________

Though they did have a hair dryer, they didn't provide those little niceties that a spa usually provides. There was no lotion/hair spray/balms/etc., so presumably, they're expecting you to buy something from out front. Well, i'm a lot more likely to buy a lotion if I can try it first, especially if I've just had a nice massage.

3._______

In the "Relaxation Room," there was no hot water for the tea and there were only crackers and some kind of trail mix. Usually, a spa provides an assortment of different options - cheese/veggies (olives)/crackers/sweets. that would have been nice.

All in all, it was a good experience, but for $100 + tip/60min, I like to have my lotion and hot tea.

I may go back, but not before trying a few other (less expensive) spas in the area.

Best Facial in NYC!. I drive all the way from the Bronx to get my facials at Spa Hydra and I always request Sheehan as my aesthetician. The spa itself is really relaxing, the water features make me sleepy right when I walk in. I can barely keep my eyes open during the signature facial because its so relaxing. My skin looks glowing immediately after, and my nose, my problem area, has never looked better. (Sheehan's "extractions" are notoriously meticulous !!!!) I also treated myself to a mani / pedi on my last visit, which was also meticulous, the best pedi I've had in a while! I highly recommend this place for the ambience and their attention to detail.

Upscale and Close to Home. Really zen-like spa, with a cool vibe yet upscale retreat. Tried their signature vegan massage, left me pretty impressed, completely relaxed and with a good conscious that I paid for a treatment that used a green product. Massage itself was really relaxing, yet the therapist was able to untie most of my tense knots...and I had a few!

I opted not to take advantage of the cool shower system in the locker room, cause the massage balm smelled so delicious, then I found out they sold the stuff out front.. (bummer)

Overall I was really impressed with this spa and glad its just a short walk from home.

Highly recommend it.
