Sports at Stout. Recently met some friends at Stout to watch the Jets game and It was great. Lots of beer, good looking, speedy servers and lots of Tv's with sound. Football fans will really like this venue. F.Y.I The pizza at Stout is also really good.

Great service, great food, lots of beers. The service at this bar puts everywhere else to shame. Everyone is really on top of managing customers, and the food is amazing. Not to mention the full selection of stouts, great location right near MSG, and you've got yourself an MVP bar.

low life managers. The bar itself obviously have a large following, but this will slim down seriously if they continue to have people working there with such disrespect for paying customers and choose to make everyone aware of their job titles by making examples of innocent people and war veterans. It is not a privilege for me to go to a bar. In this economy it is a privilege for them to have my patronage. Unfortunately they have now lost that. I even got a call back from the owner and she completely endorsed her managers behavior through denying that her manager was wrong. Check the film again! He demanded first and yelled second and then had to show me how powerful he was by unsuccessfully trying to get me to leave. We don't all look alike. There's no point in lying or denying. All I know is you endorse his behavior. Shame on you. Perhaps it was a case of profiling.

Perfect for the afterwork unwind!. I usually go to stout and enjoy a few beers after work, As soon as you walk in you feel relaxed. They have tons of TVs going with all the games on. its a great place to just chill out after a long day at work. The proximity to Penn station is perfect to enjoy myself before getting on a train to head home. With hockey going on at Madison Square Garden now and basketball coming soon who knows if I'll ever leave. The bartenders are great with helping you choose from the many types of beers. Its always buzzing but not too busy. All in all, great place to mingle or just to relax and have a couple cold ones!

Bad Encounter with Bartender. Went last night with a couple of friends. The place was deserted, but it was early on a Monday night. We ordered one pint each, and talked among ourselves. Then one of my friends wanted to ask a question of the bartender, he replied 'It depends on if its a sh*t question.' She paused, then continued on that she was curious about a vodka they had behind the bar. He walked away, said 'That's a sh*t question.' So we went back to talking among ourselves. But before leaving (after finishing our one pint) my other friend decided that we'd tell the other bartender about the strange exchange -- and before we know it the creep is stalking down the bar to confront us and go more than a little nuts! It was aggressive and strange -- you'd think he'd just say he was joking and didn't mean anything, please come back sometime and no hard feelings, etc. We'll never go back. I see some of these other reviews refer to similarly aggressive incidents -- so maybe he's been around a while. It looked like a great place! Bummer that there's a such a creep behind the bar. IIn retrospect I wish we'd pulled our tip back before leaving, but we're nice people, and didn't even think of it.

Karaoke rocks. Went to Karaoke for the first time this past Saturday and the vibe in Stout is great. Everyone really gets into it and I mean everyone, bartenders, servers and what seemed to be a regular Saturday night crew. DJ Tony is really nice. No one seems to be embarrassed and everyone gets cheered and clapped for. Really Good Time!

Angry With Management. I have been to Stout quite a few times and the food and draft beer is very good, and so is the service. Well, today during lunch, I had a bad experience. While I was drinking my beer and waiting for my food, this anorexic looking, poor excuse for a manager approaches me with a plain white t-shirt and informs me that I have to cover up, no sleeveless shirts. I've dressed like that at Stout several times there before, and there was never a problem. And I was sitting at the bar, it wasn't like I was at a table, and it wasn't crowded. It's a double standard if us guys can't dress like that and the ladies can. I would dress differently in a fancier place, but Stout has always been a casual place. She needs to get a life. I hope the owner is reading this and if he is, please straighten out your manager or hire a new one or you're going to lose a lot of business. They've already lost mine.

Parties at Stout are great. Just wanted to drop a line saying what a great time I had at Stout. I don't usually take time to write reviews but the staff were so friendly and payed attention to the smallest details that it really made our party special. From my first call to Stout to book my party I was put at ease, this was especially important to me because it was my fiancees 30th birthday. I would definitely plan another event at Stout they were so helpful and made my party a success from beginning to end. They made me look really good in front of my family and friends to boot.

Thanks Stout
