Still one of the best!. Still one of my summer favorites...it's always the perfect place for drinks. It's always a great scene there; people to meet.

POMPASS BARTENDERS!. I have never been so offended by service in my life. I waited over 10 min at the bar and the bartender was a foot away from me. He made numerous eye contact and I called him over.. Waved.. He smiled and continued to chat w/other girls and flip his hair. My boyfriend also tried and nothing! We called over another waitor and he said the other one is my bartender. I was fuming and started yelling at them and saying he would be my bartender if he actually served me. They proceeded to laugh in my face. I wanted to throw a beer can in their face. The other one went to get my order and I obviously did not tip him. My boyfriend told the hostess and she also laughed in his face!

I've never been so completely disgusted w/service in my life! Do not go to this place. It's not that amazing and the "SUMMER MARGARITA" has to be the worst drink ever created. Who ever thought it was a good idea to put this on a menu has no taste.

Inept and Rude at Yard. After meeting a friend for some afterwork drinks, we quickly left this overrated bar/lounge and made our way around the corner to Lucky Strike, a much more cool and welcoming envoironment. Our negative experience began with the hipster host that avoided eye contact and claimed he could not seat us in any of the empty tables because they were "reserved".

He was quite snobish but because the chic patio space interested us, we made our way to the back area where there were a few empy cabana's. A spacey waitress mumbled what appeared to be a sentence asking us if we wanted menus. Then she came back and asked us if we could squeeze into a side chair to leave the love seat open for 3 or more people. If the area was crowded, I might understand, but there were two unreserved cabana's next to ours.

Confused and offended, my company and I quickly prepared to finish the drink and jet. Not worth it.

Nice for atmosphere;that's pretty much it. My husband and I had dessert here for our 3rd anniversary. Upon entering the outside dining area the hosts were friendly. We were seated promptly in front at around 9:30pm on Saturday night Memorial Day weekend. Our waitress seemed to be knowledgeable n the menu & drinks but her service was SO BELOW AVERAGE. It took us over 30 min. to received the key lime pie & chocolate tart we ordered. the desserts were sub par; definitely not worth $9 each thou. It took her another 10 minutes to bring us flatware so we could actually eat. The dining area was incredibly smoky due to all the cigarettes which was annoying while eating. Not at all worth the price or susceptibility to lung cancer...at least the atmosphere & decor were nice .

A Fabulous Place to Hang Out. You have got to check this out. We went last summer and it is the most fun and swinging place. Casual, but happening -- I saw at least one celebrity. The drinks are great, the music is cool and dogs are welcome! What's not to like? The service is prompt and friendly and that is saying a lot because it gets quite crowded.

Boring!. The place itself is very cute but sooooooo boring! We stayed for 5 minutes and left. No music was playing it was super quiet, people just sat there....maybe its a good place to bring your grandma when she's visiting but not for a date or a night out with girlfriends.

PRE-TEN-TIOUS. If you would like to be treated poorly by a host, definitely head to this place. The host at the door/velvet rope was extremely rude to me and my friends; he refused to seat us because he claimed there were no tables available - yet we could see at least 5 open tables - and then proceeded to roll his eyes when we asked how long the wait would be (and avoided answering or making eye contact)... There are some great spots just a block or 2 north where the hosts actually care enough not only to seat your group, but to actually be hospitable as they do...poor soho grand, didn't someone tell you that pretension is out these days?

Unresponsive, Arrogant, and Pretentious.. The Yard at the Soho Grand has absolutly no appreciation for the fact that they face three residential buildings with occupants that pay already hefty fees for their Soho address. They are in the habit of not responding at all to neighbors complaints of loud music, esp. on Thursday Nights. The place is loud, crouded, filled with smoke to ends up in residents windows, and really not worth the aggrivation. CLOSE THE YARD, and return the neighborhood to those that PAY TO LIVE THERE!

Fun Place for Cocktails. Looking forward to this place opening again, could be that I am over winter... Last summer I enjoyed many an evening sitting outside drinking frozen mojitos, and these fun green tea cocktails and refreshing sangrias. It can get pretty boisterous so get there early as there are only so many seats at the bar, otherwise it is fun to sit on the grass (lounge chairs or blankets!).

Who doesn't love BBQ?!

A festive outdoor setting for summer cocktails.. The Scene
True to its name, this spot has the casual, convivial feel of a party in a friend's backyard. A diverse group of 30-something after-workers, European hotel guests, and curious passersby spread out among the compact bar, wall benches, and cafe tables lit by cool electric candles. As the sky darkens, the tiny white lights strung between the trees dim and the persistent house beats are drowned out by the din of clinking glasses and laughter.

The Draw

A generous selection of cocktails--including the seemingly bottomless Grand margarita, a soothing mochatini, and a frozen cosmo--take the edge off the heat. The menu tantalizes with such intriguing offerings as smoked salmon nachos, grilled octopus, and chocolate-covered bananas. In nice weather, a DJ spins tunes and a grassy area in back attracts sun worshippers.
