Go if you like Reasonably-Priced Sashimi. Great service- thought sashimi plate was worth going back for! Other dishes were good, but not oustanding. Service was very attentive and friendly.
Great lunch special - actually on 56th St. (not lexington). This place was great for a quiet Sunday lunch on the UES. Very good dishes included the lemongrass chicken and panang curry.
Large selection of average tasting food. The waitstaff was friendly. And now I've run out of compliments... I've been here multiple times. I guess the food was okay. It's enough to marginally satisfy a wide range of different Asian palates but not enough to inspire rave reviews. The teriyaki dishes are not really teriyaki. My favorite dish so far was the Beef Penang. Can't really mess up beef and peanut sauce, eh? Remember fusion is someone's interpretation of multiple combined cuisines. It's a good fallback option for lunch. Good enough to be the safety spot when your lunch crew can't decide what to eat.
over-rated. The food is avg, a bit pricey. I was doubting about pan-asian food in one restaurant, but my friend highly recommended it. Nothing fusion about the dishes I had. Either a bit plain or sweet n sour.
sushi is mediocre at best, sugarilious.
mediocre sushi
over rated! sushi is mediocre at best. Most of the sauces are plain and too much sugar. If you want healthy food, don't go there. But i did had a nice appetizer, the short ribs, just a little fattty than how I like it.
Best place for Thai food!!. We were a group of 9 people and found this restaurant by accident. This place is suitable for groups and also for couples as it was quiet romantic. Unlike most of the restaurants in Manhattan this one is spacious. Very polite staff and good service. The cost was reasonable and they had a wide variety of asian dishes. The only thing was that with so many people they got confused with the orders so instead of getting shrimp we got chicken, but that was forgiven for the service they provided. We had 4 people waiting on us which is highly appreciable. I would recommend this place for Thai or any other asian food lover. Kudos to the management and the staff for the service. Would love to go to this place any number of times either with friends or with my boy friend.
How lucky was this out-of-towner to find this place!. I was in town for the Adobe conference in the Waldorf. I wondered a few blocks and saw Fusia and decided to give it a try. Being a sushi/sashimi snuff, my best way to test the raw fish on a first visit is try the economical Chirashi. I was pleasantly surprised! The cut of fish was fresh and tasty. And the bed of rice is properly infused with rice vinegar. Actually I should be ecstatic. I did no research before hand and I was blessed with a great experience on a random walk-in. The staff was polite and very attentive. I was the first customer for the lunch hour. However, the second table's order came out first. I could sense the nervousness among the entire staff; and they made multiple trips to the sushi bar to inquire. It was kinda funny. Seeing that level of enthusiasm, I forgave the extra wait. Upon my return to the hotel, I immediately looked up Fusia and I saw the high ratings from the fellow foodies! I raved Fusia to my wife for hours. I'm going back there for lunch again tomorrow, and will bring my wife.
Worth trying!. Good food! Polite staff! Good Service! Affordable! Nice, clean, somewhat romantic, place. Worth checking out!
Great People deserve great reviews..
Can I complain? NO!! I have nothing to complain about this place. I went there last summer before my 21st birthday bash(yeah I know its late but I wanted to pay back for their great service...good Karma) after finding it on this page. Everything that I read about was true. Great food? Check! Great interior? Check! Great Price? check! Great Food?Check! Great serivice? CHECK! The people there were so nice, cordial, and attentative. I'm from Japan where service is imaculate and these people lived up to my standards. I wish them nothing but the best and I would go back there anytime for good food and service.
In addition, they congratulated me on turning 21 and they were the sweetest people. Almost every staff came over and congratulated me with a big smile. I find these small things as a result of great training regiment coming from the top of the management and then bottom of their hearts. All of this coming from a straight guy, you know your lady will thank you over and over and over.......if you take them there for a romantic date.
Highly recommend.
BEST KEPT SECRET IN NY!. This place is one of my all-time favorites. It has any kind of Asian food you're in the mood for, from sushi to Thai. The food is incredibly reasonable, esp. for NY. The dish I usually get is $8! It's immaculately clean and inviting, and the staff is very attentive. There has never been any waiting when I've been there...I almost want to write a bad review to keep people away (lol), but the restaurant definitely deserves the business. Highly recommended!
