In Short – With its harbor views and breezy, greenery-trimmed terrace, it's easy to see why this Chinese spot is a favorite refuge for World Financial Center workers and Battery Park City residents. The broad menu spans Szechuan, Cantonese and Shanghai provinces with favorites including pork and crab soup dumplings and General Tso's chicken to rarities such as sea cucumber and shark fin soup. The beautiful backdrop makes it an especially attractive alternative to Chinatown.
Never Again - the worst dining experience in NYC so far

I live in the neighborhood and receive delivery from this restaurant all the time. Granted, the food is decent but nothing to write home about. I and a couple of friends decided to dine at the restaurant. We took a table outside to enjoy the scenery...things got off to a great start as we quickly ordered a fantastic meal. Fifteen minutes in, we are wondering where our food was...in the interim we are watching bags and bags of food leaving the restaurant for delivery. Five minutes later we receive our first appetizer...another 30 minutes pass and we still have not received an entree. One of four entrees arrive soon after. We ask the waiter if the rest of our food is coming and says "the kitchen is very very busy" and we reply that there are only two occupied tables at the restaurant. The waiter then proceeds to lounge against the column. Another 10 minutes pass and we are getting frustrated. We ask the lady waitress to help us out...she was very proactive and quickly got the kitchen to cook our food (seems like delivery orders take precedence over those dining at the restaurant). Anyway, to top this off, I walk inside the restaurant to use the restroom and I was accosted by a VERY RUDE woman who said in a condescending tone "Can I help you. Where are you going?" I said "I am walking towards the restroom." She says, "But toilet only for customer..." To which I replied "Woman, I just spent over $100 to dine here and I can't believe I am being treated like this." No apologies...she simply looks away. I let her have it. If you want a pleasant dining experience, avoid this restaurant at all costs.
- Pros: Food was decent
- Cons: Poor attitude by management, terrible and slow table service
Dishonest service..

A bunch of spent 4th of July dinner there and by the end it became a nightmare. Even though the food is ok the service was the reason we would never go back there. For starters, it seemed to us that most waitstaff didn't speak english. Everytime we needed something the waiter would politely look at us and then we would never see him again. When we asked for green tea the waiter came back and said they only have 'red' tea (!?!?) After some addional inquiry we finally figured out the guy meant oolong tea (don't ask how it is red). A friend of mine wanted a glass of white wine and the waiter told my friend later that he had to pay for a full bottle. When the bill came my friend was charged $90 dollars for what was basically ordinary table wine. We asked for the menu to see the price of the wine and guess what - it wasn't listed there. How can you charge $90 for something thats not anywhere on the menu? To top it all another friend of mine was charged 3 (three times!) on her credit card after which her credit card was declined by her bank on suspicion of fraudulent activity. After all that, the chief waiter knowing how unhappy we were brought us a bag of oranges. Gee, thanks, but no thanks..
believe it or not, it's really quite good!

the food here is really quite decent! i was not expecting much (in fact, i was expecting disappointment) especially considering the dearth of good eats in the immediate area (BPC is not known as a culinary destination, barring Roy's). However, as chinese food goes, given the area, this is as good as you're gonna get. the choices are also quite authentic, including their peking duck and other "banquet" specials. It's not going to be the best chinese out there (no shun lee or joe's shanghai) but it's very good and definitely reliable. Try their delivery if you live in the area.
- Pros: reliable good food, nice view, fast delivery
