Why does God Hate me.
I was punched and molested by Sean Dowds. He is the priestiest man child I know. He told me I was his first. And then he punched me in the ear and molested my eyes. Why would he do this? Why?
Outside of that, The pinch is a great bar, great people, and great all around. I suggest going here every night.
Sean Dowds is a virgin
HORRIBLE. Worst bar in NYC. Bartenders and bouncers were DRUNK and OBNOXIOUS! We had two coats stolen. Management made no opologies and did nothing about it; threw us out when we brought it to their attention. WOULD NOT RECOMMENEND TO ANYONE.
A decent place to start the night off. The only problem I had was that there isn't any grill. It's only a bar. However, the bartender provided me with a giant stack of order menus and I was able to have some grilled BBQ chicken delivered to the bar. The prices are typical for near NYU, but the crowd isn't NYU, at least not at 8pm on a Saturday. I can't vouch for 11pm. The barstaff is friendly enough and you'll get a buyback after 2 or 3 drinks. I would stop in there again with friends looking for a place to have a few drinks without being crushed by a crowd. Not too shabby.
great place. ignore the negative reviews and see for yourself!. anyone who assaults bugmenot can't be all bad. i have been to this place at least a dozen times and i found the owner and the crowd to be quite friendly. the drink prices are average despite what mr bugmenot and his bimbo said. if you walk into a bar and are drunk and rude you shouldn't be surprised when you are asked to leave. just read the other reviews by the bozo and you will see he is a little man with too much time on his hands and believes people should grovel at his feet for his business. if he was assaulted he deserved it.
friendly staff, cheap drinks. This is a great bar/pub for hanging out with friends, playing darts, watching games and enjoying cheap drinks. I love going here for a casual and relaxing time after work as well as late nights! the bar menu is great too, never too greasy. The bartenders are very friendly and devoted to great service.
Best bartender. I met my buddies here Saturday afternoon to watch a game. I never even knew this place existed and I live only a few blocks away. Great setup for games or just hanging out in an unpretentious crowd without college idiots. Maria the bartender was excellent and pretty hilarious. Took care of us and made sure we were never without drinks even though there were a bunch of tables throughout the bar and on the patio with eager drinkers like ourselves. Had a great afternoon and ended up staying through the evening. Started to get a little crowded around 10 so we left with a great buzz and a new favorite spot. So if you are looking for a place to spend a weekend afternoon and catch a game... tell her we said hi.
Amazing place to lose hours. If you come here, don't plan on leaving soon. Friendly staff lures you in and before you know it, the day has passed. But the neighborhood vibe will always make you feel welcomed. My girlfriend and I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon and loved the relaxed atmosphere. Good music, sports on tv and great bartender. What else do you need besides the best Guiness in the city.
Probably The best new Irish bar in the village.
Finally found a cool trendy new Irish bar , great location and near many other great pubs if you like to 'crawl'!!
Nice and clean, cool stone floor, (which my friends and I really think makes the place authentic) and great layout for both bar area and many tables to gather groups on.
Staff so far have been awesome and look forward to spending more time hanging out there ,
Spread the word !! see ya there
Overpriced drinks, mediocre service, dull crowd. Some of these reviews mention that the drinks are well-priced. Do not be fooled. We think the owners wrote that. In reality, the drinks are on the expensive side for a village pub, the girls who bartend don't mix a stiff drink, and oftentimes guys are randomnly charged more than girls (200% markup). Usually it's pretty dead. The Pinch used to be a more personal place, but the owners seem to have disappeared from the scene, and the new employees don't give the bar the charm it once had. There are better places to be found in the village.
Trendy Bar in the village. This bar is the best bar in the village by a long shot. It has only been open a year and it is very popular especially on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights as they have live music. The food is okay, your average pub grub and the service is good. The price of the drinks are one of the best in the city. All in all, its a great bar that is a great place to hang out with friends.
