The Scene – So small it barely fits 20 people comfortably, this mini slice of the Upper East Side is dedicated to fine wines. Mirrors strewn throughout make a valient attempt at enlarging the space, while tiny touches include a collection of vintage and oversized corkscrews bedecking the orange and exposed brick walls, and bottles stacked ceiling-high. – – The Draw – For the amateur, a helpful menu separates wine into tangible categories--"full-bodied and robust" like the '98 Shiraz or "floral and aromatic" like the '03 Pinot Grigio. With eager-to-please bartenders…

We met some friends here for a quick drink before going to a night club - it was great - good service and very relaxed atmosphere. Nice to finally have a good wine bar close by.

Great place to bring family. My husband and I love it! Wine can be a bit pricey. but everything selected was very reasonable. Just a nice place to drink. We loooove wine.
- Pros: You get everything you go there for.
My fav local spot!

I use to live on 90th and 2nd so I spent many an evening at Cavatappo. Recently I moved 10 blocks south and decided to try some new wine bars... nothing compares to the this place though. Although it is small and can be a little crowded sometimes it is by far worth it. The staff is so nice and welcomes people asking for suggestions. They truly want you to have a wonderful time. It is nice to sit outside in the summer but offers a cozy atmosphere inside during the winter months. Perfect for meeting a friend or a date because it is a very calming atmosphere. The food is simple but delicious along with an impressive wine list. I always get the cheese plate and mixed olives, although there are many great choices. I definitely suggest checking this place out and promise it will be come one of your local favs too!
- Pros: Friendly staff, great food and wine selections, memorable date spot
- Cons: A little small inside
