Does it exist?. Does this place even exist? A friend and I went in search of a good time at Sly last night... Only to find out that Sly does not even exist. The only markings at 310 Spring St was the words BACK FAT written on the door. Not very appealing! Don't waste your time looking for this place.

Kinda lame. Went here on a Thurs night around 11:30. It seemed like a lot of pretty underaged girls. I'm 30 and felt like the oldest one there. My guy friends didn't mind. I was ok with the music- popular hip hop and r&b songs. Seating was a little weird too- basically only along the walls, which made it awkward for my group of 4, since we had to sit in a row. Overall I found the most impressive thing to be the unmarked door- big whoop. It seemed less crowded than the Irish bar next door, but I still wouldn't go out of my way to be there again. Thumbs down.

Review of Sly. While street-side marketing isnt in Slys game plan (youll be hard pressed to find this spot without a sign), whats hidden inside can make for a nice evening. This somewhat stylish, yet small bar/lounge in Soho has its own personality that comes with its own sly drink names. WACK!!!!. I went there for a birthday party, and the place was EXTREMELY SMALL! They had a small dance floor, with LOUD and REPETITIVE songs, can you say LAME? The prices of the drinks were average, but it tasted NASTY! I wouldn't go back if they paid me to.

An intimate SoHo den sparks romance whether it's scene-y or serene.. The Scene
There's no sign outside to lure patrons into this shadowy spot, but once inside the snug surroundings inevitably enchant them. Frosted windowpanes and soft candle lighting set the cozy mood around private booths, while couches swathed in blue velvet abound in the spacious bar. Wooden walls painted midnight blue make it feel like the witching hour even when it's early. Dance music, though constantly piped in, is low and unintrusive.

The Draw
The romantic vibes can switch from calm to crowded depending on the night. A mid-20s set fills the space up on weekends, but leaves it relatively untapped during the week--a great chance for an intimate, chatty first date. A chain-mail curtain partially conceals a back area with more couches to get comfy on during second dates, and in summertime singles can mingle on the outdoor patio with its unusual but sociable bleacher seating.

Absolutely Great.. After reading a citysearch tip that this bar was being talked about lately, we decided to head there on a Friday night. An out of town friend was visiting, bringing our group total to 4. This place was absolutely great. We did a passby at first b/c there's no sign outside and we just wanted to get a feel. We were really happy after heading in. The DJ's music was thumping, the crowd was young and happy, the vibe was chill, and the drinks were great. The Sly Passion and the Sly Honey were $12 (typical for Soho/West Village) and were tasty. We spent a great hour or so there and we'll definitely be back.

It's a good place to have fun, but not a great place for conversation as it can get fairly loud.
