From The Owner of 99 Miles to Philly

It's a long-held belief among Philadelphians that no one anywhere else can make a cheesesteak the right way. That's exactly what they aim to…

Feels like PATS. I went there with a bunch of my friends the spot is small but the foood was awesome man. You gotta wait like 6-7mins but its worth it. I would drive from nyc to philly to go have PATs. Since gas is high i would rather go to 99 miles

Never again...out of both good taste and principle!. This place seems more like worlds away from Philly (or NYC even!) than any distance that can possibly be measured in miles. I had a better cheesesteak in Lincoln, Nebraska once (apologies to anyone reading this who is from Lincoln. I just wouldn't have expected to get a decent cheesesteak there!).

Despite this place being a C- at best, Carl's (the only good cheesesteak in NYC) doesn't deliver, and sometimes you just need a sandwich and you need it delivered. I've tried to order from this place 4 times in the last month and a half. I was on hold for a minimum of 10 minutes each time, and two of the calls were off peak hours (2PM and 3:30PM respectively). The staff is all a bunch of rude jacka#@es, which would be one thing if this place were Jim's, Gino's or Pat's, but hell; the sandwich can't even hold Carl's proverbial jockstrap. In addition, the cheese fries and onion rings are tasteless; a footnote, but important nonetheless.

The unpleasant attitude becomes even more annoying when you consider that the two times I did actually get through a "complete" delivery, my large order of attitude came with several sides of " this order is completely wrong". Between the subpar food and the inability to get a simple order of "one wit whiz and onions and a side of cheese fries" correct, it really made me want to call them back and advise them to be on top of things (both in terms of flavor and competence) if you want to be that condescending.

Never again...out of both good taste and principle.

Native Philadelphian has found her cheesesteak place. So far out of all the other cheesesteak places in the city this is the best that I've had so far. Just like how they make them in Philly down to the roll. The waffle fries are great too and their open late night so if you're in the area definitely stop by for a great fix :)

One of the best places in NYC. Very close to famous Pat's cheese steaks in philly 99 Miles is the best restaurant I've come across in NYC to get a really delicious cheese steak. The waffle fries are to die for as well. Enjoy!

Moving, and I'll miss them when I'm gone.. 99 Miles to Philly has great Cheesesteaks! Sure, they're a little on the smaller side, but I don't mind paying for quality instead of quantity. They have the perfect amount of meat to cheese to bread ratio. They're still plenty big enough when you order them with fries. Which also happen to be awesome. I make a point of going there anytime I'm within 1 mile of the place. I will most certianly miss these cheesesteaks when I move back to Chicago where I can only get Italian beefs! Ramble on ramblers!!

BEST CHEESESTEAKS AWAY FROM PHILLY. 99 Miles is so delicious. If you're drunk, sober, out with kids, or just want home food, the cheesesteaks and waffle fries are done to perfection. They also have Tastycakes, so you can really have a Philly experience. Obviously, I love the place.

Least Greasy Philly Cheese in NYC. I really like that the phillysteaks at 99 miles to Philly are not greasy. Carls is good too-and the rightful pioneer but they are too greasy.

Great drunk food, BEST waffle fries!. My friends and I love to eat at 99 miles all the time - sober, drunk, whatever. Their cheesesteaks are tasty and huge (i can usually only eat half) and their waffle fries are amazing. The food is made pretty fast, so it's perfect for takeout, and they stay open late on weekends so it's a great place to go after the bars let out.

Addictive. This place is addictive. I used to go to there 3rd Ave store, but they just opened a new spot on Bleecker Street which delivers to me. This could be a problem for me at 250lbs, I'm finding myself ordering 2 to 3 times a week. Like I said addictive, and filling Steak with Provolone, onions, and Mushrooms with a side of rings fills me up. Delivery time is usually quick within 30 minutes. I highly reccommend this place.

cheesteak sliders. tasty steak, but WHY SO SMALL? Granted I ate @ the bleeker st location, but it was more of a cheesesteak-slider or appetizer than a steak sandwich. Much farther than 99 miles from philly.. go uptown to carls
