Great Atmosphere, Awful Food/Service

by pinkberrygirl

Resist the temptation - dont go here. Seriously. I've lived in the area for almost 6 years and eaten here twice. Both were awful experiences and 3 years apart. I dont know why I gave it a second chance, but seriously dont know how they stay in business. The service is ridiculously slow, the food is always cold and tastes terrible, and when I complained they gave me MAJOR attitude. I think they're use to it and that's why they didnt even attempt to make good or remove charges for drinks that tool 30 minutes to arrive...

  • Pros: atmosphere
  • Cons: Service, food, overall experience.

It looks cute, but don't waste your time!!!!

I don’t ever know where to start with this review. Have lived in NYC for a few years and hands down worst experience we have ever had dining out. We had walked by this place a few weeks ago and thought next time we are in the area we would drop in for diner. The atmosphere is nice and it’s open and we were sat right away. We also did get our drinks and order taken pretty quickly. I began to realize that it was taking a long time for our salads. I think I lost track of time since we were chatting. Than I checked the time and it was almost 9:30. We had gotten there prior to 9:00. How does it take 30 + minutes for salads to come out and when we told the waitress it’s taking too long she said they were busy and it would only be a few more minutes. We did give it a few more minutes and than I realized we needed to bail before this gets worst. I was thinking of how long it would take for our entrees to come out if salads took 35+ minutes. We asked for our check and paid for our drinks and got out of there. So happy we did as we ate a wonderful Tibetan Place down the street, which I’ll be sure to review as well. There are too many great restaurants in this neighborhood to accept this crappy service. I wish I would have checked reviews first. At least I got out before any more totuurte.

Some other crappy things were they allowed people to smoke cigarettes. I saw at least (2) people smoking. I think that is so gross while I’m dining! The other thing I think is so dated is the hookah. My husband and I were so happy that we ate here (or tried to) before we brought any of our friends! If you’re in your early 20’s and want to sit there and drink and smoke the hookah than this is the place for you. I think the only reason they have people go into this place is because it looks cool! Again, the east village area has tons of cool, cheap places with great food and service.

  • Pros: I loved the outside area!
  • Cons: To long for food and they allowed people to smoke

Worst food ever

by SpotM

Avoid this place like the plague!! Forget the ambiance nonsense.

The food was awful - apparently microwaved. In fact, you get cheap substitutions in place of what's on the menu. I ordered Talapia with Risotto... got the fish alright, but with Uncle Ben's brown rice. And for this you you pay a premium. And they have the nerve to include 18% gratuity for shoddy service.

When you see this place, take a peek inside for the ambiance and go elsewhere for the food.
