Nice uptown bar with good vibe. This is the way uptown gay bar. It has a very nice, upscale decor that could be downtown. I would just ask that they go easy on the cleaning supplies--sometimes it smells a little like a hospital.

They have a great happy hour (2 for 1) until 10pm every day--including the weekends. The bartenders are cute and friendly and generally pour good drinks. It is more of a neighborhood bar with some locals until later when the crowd packs it in after midnight, especially on the weekends when it is packed until closing.

The crowd reflects the changing neighborhood starting out more gay and white earlier in the evening and then getting progressively darker and more mixed the later it gets.

All in all, having moved way uptown from downtown, it is nice to have a bar that I can feel comfortable and at home in.

Lounge way uptown that doesn't skimp on the swank.. In Short
Making a statement from the tippity-top of the island, this Washington Heights nightspot is as designed as any downtown lounge. Curved walls and glowing ceilings are accented by a large chandelier that twirls above heads. Burnt orange banquettes are enclosed behind "V"-embossed frosted glass panels, giving patrons some seclusion from the other partiers. Black-clad bartenders prepare fruity specialty drinks from behind a circular resin bar.
