One of my dearest friends is getting married. All of the bridesmaids live in different cities. We decided to do our bachelorette weekend here in NYC, so alot of the planning fell on me. I can't tell you how stressed I was trying to find a quality spa for a reasonable price!! A friend recommended Ohm and with just less than two weeks away I figured why not give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised!! When I called the receptionist was so accomodating and she never rushed me. She explained all my options. She also told me she could split up the bride's services between us bridesmaids and include the gratuity which immediately put me at ease. (The last thing I wanted to do was stand there infront of the bride while we figured out the total) We went on August 30th. Upon our arrival the receptionist knew our names and even said Congratulations to the bride and treated her with such care. We changed into the MOST COMFORTABLE robes and slippers I have ever worn. We waited in this adorable room with snacks and fruit infused water and tons of magazines!! Basically my heaven. Our massages were fantastic. My massage therapist went over what kinds of lotions and oils I was sensitive to as I had written down that I had very sensitive skin. She was so attentive to where I was sore and gave me some great suggestions for stretching out some particularly tight areas on my body. Our bride also had a mani/pedi and kept telling me how it was the best she ever had. She loved that she could watch a movie on a big flat screen TV and just relax. Overall, what I loved most about Ohm was the atmospehere, clean, quiet, comforting, and the service. Everyone from the owners to the ladies who kept bringing in more snacks were friendly, gracious, and sincere (nothing fake about this place). My girlfriends and I are already looking for an excuse to go back together. Thanks so much to Ohm Spa for taking so much stress of me and making it so easy to plan a special day of friendship!!!
Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Attention to detail
Cons: NONE

I had a gift certificate for a 60 min massage and a manipedi, gratuity included, so I really didn't have to worry about that side of things. Service: Amazing. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. I loved that my masseuse was careful around my weak spots, and really focused on what I wanted. All the staff in the manicure room were on "service" mode. (For example, since the movie I was watching hadn't ended when I went to the dryer, the staff members were thoughtful enough to direct me to a seat where I could finish watching the movie.) The decor: I was enchanted with it. I loved the little room where you get to sit and read magazines in a spa bathrobe, nibbling on fruit and dark chocolate and little cookies, and sipping herbed water and lemonade. Exquisite. Massage: Even if I had been paying the admittedly steep price myself, it would have been more than worth it. It was softer than I expected. but it left me much more relaxed than the deep massages I'm used to. And that relaxation continued for days. The warmth of the bed did even more to relax me and the aromatherapy just took me into another world. Basically, since this massage, I've been trying to figure out how I can afford to go for another one on my budget. It was that great. Mani-Pedi: Horrible. Ok, I feel terrible for writing this, for having to write this, because the woman who did it was really very sweet and friendly, quite a delight, but she gave me the worst mani-pedi I've ever had. The advertised exfoliation and massage were barely perfunctory. When she cut and filed my toenails it hurt. Not only did the nailpolish start chipping the next day on both hands and feet, but the cuticles were poorly removed. And, worst of all, she had cut my toenails unevenly, so that it took me weeks to grow them out and cut them normally. This would have been an incompetent mani-pedi job if it had cost $20. At $75 it's unforgivable. The mani-pedi at Ohm was basically worse than none at all.
Pros: massage, service, decor, comfort
Cons: skill at manipedi
