Good Times. great spot to mingle and meet...kitchen is not open, but the drinks and atmosphere is rocking, great DJ music on Saturdays - good place to stop by before hitting a club

A CRITTER ON THE BAR!!!!!!. I once loved Sortie. Good food and delicious drinks. Until I went there tonight with my girlfriend. I ordered my favorite SHRIMP tapa and found out "the kitchen was closed for food cost and evaluation." To me it sounded like a health code violation. I was a bit disappointed so decided to just have a drink.

I was sitting at the bar conversating and drinking as a FOUR LEGGED CREATURE (LIKE MICKY)ran across the bar past me and back. You figure it out, why the kitchen was closed... We went next door to Vice Versa had a dinner and drinks at EASE!

Cozy Spot. This place is definitely good for a cool after work spot. However I would recommend if going in a group to call for reservations because it gets packed and you can?t get a seat. Lucky for my group the waitress made room for us. We had a cozy table in the back and plenty of drinks which were OK. Overall a decent place for a little after work chit chat and a good variety of music which was my plus.

Great service, loud venue toward night. Great place for a casual drink and finger food. The lighting is subtle, the couches are comfortable, and the staff are knowledgeable and attentive. I went with a date and ended up staying much longer than we expected. Try the weekly special wine and some of their great tasting plates. We order steamed dumplings and an assorted cheese dish; everything came out great! I highly recommend this place for a date or local hangout, though the music gets a little loud toward the late night if you're trying to hear your date on the other side of the table.

HOT TUESDAY PARTY/ SOULFUL & FUNKY HOUSE MUSIC. This bar/lounge/restaurant has NO well liquor. The bar selection is excellent. We happened upon a party when we arrived. The DJ was HOT! It was an Old New York Cool crowd. We did not eat but we did DANCE. We left a little before 1Am and the crowd was just coming in. Check it out.!!!

Great lounge in midtown!!!!!. Finally a great midtown spot I can hang out at!! They have dj's, live music and best of all- it's not a typical midtown irish dive bar!

They have a very cool beer selection, and an impressive martini list. The bartender Stacey was great. My guy friends definately enjoyed looking at her, and were happy to hear her sister works there as well.

Stacey made an art out of not flirting, but being especially friendly to everyone.

Everyone who lives or works in midtown needs to check this place out!

(I reccomend the dimsum!)

Superior Dinner Party Place In Just About Every Way. I recently had my wedding reception here on a Saturday night, and every one of the 25 people had a great time.

I had done my research, and believe it or not there are very few good places with a DJ and full dinner service in NYC that can offer a lounge vibe. Several places were considered and eliminated for not having the complete package or being too restrictive.

Sortie's management and staff are easy to get on with - I was able to customize a menu, music style, and seating arrangements to my taste with ease, and the price per person was a bargain compared to some of the other places I looked at.

The menu is eclectic and everything I tried was good. Service came with a smile and no stress. I'm planning to take more full advantage of their eye-popping beer menu next time but I couldn't stop drinking their house chardonnay during our party, and I'm usually not a wine drinker.

That being said, it's best to work out all the details of a private party as far in advance as possible and get written down what eaxctly you're getting, as I never really got a final comprehensive proposal from the owners and the privacy and amount of appetizers that came out were less than I thought we had agreed on. But my sister covered the bill, so I guess I can't gripe too much.

On a final note the room is very cool, and the pix on the website don't really do it justice.

Bad service in general. Came here since I live nearby. Our small grop sat down on the couch closest to the bar and waited around 15-20 minutes to get our drink order, plus another 15 minutes to get 1 martini and 4 beers. The martini came in wrong and the beers were warm. Waited another 10 minutes to try and get the drink order right but gave up and left. Expressed my displeasure to the bartender and he looked at us like we were from Mars...Very disregarding...Will never come back.

Excellent Ambiance, Exotic Food and Drinks!. Highly recommended!

The food, drinks, and service at Sortie's is the top of the line but at the same time it has very chill and welcoming enviroment. I defiantly recommended for a place to chill with your friends, co-workers or love one.

Great Place to Meet. I had a blind date that never showed but this place was definitely worth the set up. Juan the owner was so nice and he made me feel welcomed even though I was alone. I meet great new people that werent all tourist. The appetizers were excellent as was the wine. I would definitely go back and recommend as a great date spot or a place to hang with friends, especially now that its nice outside you can sit out in the front area.
