Amazing Experience. I was referred to the super talented Daniel by my dear friend. Thank you! After many many many years of horrible experiences at the so-called best salons New York City has to offer, I have finally found a true stylist. The service was excellent and not phony. It was the most relaxing experience and when we were done I looked and felt amazing. The color and cut were of the moment but not trendy. And I am super excited to try my new MOP products.

Awesome haircut. This was my first visit to 2b and I had my hair cut and styled by Kerrie. She had been recommended by a friend and it was a great experience. Kerrie was nice, professional and made some great suggestions. She respected my wishes to not go too wild but also pointed how out layers around my face could really accentuate my features - and she was totally right! I feel great about the style and would 100% recommend anyone to go see Kerrie. She's a skilled, creative hairdresser.

The Best Salon In The City-Maybe the Country!. I have been to just about every major salon in NY and California and, trust me when I tell you, this place is "home." I will never go anywhere else again. Ever.

Zhauna is amazing and so is Daniel. They work together to create a warm, welcoming, relaxing atmosphere and they truly care about your hair. Zhauna talked with me about my short and long term hair goals and worked magic on my hair.I walked away with amazing highlights on my dark brown overprocessed hair.

I now have subtle, gorgeous highlights and great hair thanks to her expertise. The small staff (Zhauna, Daniel and Christina) treat you with respect and consideration and ZERO attitude! In a city of arrogance, rudeness and hair stylists who take your head and do what "they" want to do (or worse, ruin it and tell you it looks great as you sit in tears) it's great to find a safe haven where you can walk in feeling confident that everything will be OK and walk out looking your best.

PS Get the Cosmo while you wait, amazing!

Color Correction Wizard. After a grave color mishap at another Manhattan salon, I called Salon 2b for help. My hair -- which should have been colored a rich, deep brown -- was almost black, with red roots. When confronted, this other salon told me that a color correction would ruin the texture of my hair, and that I should just wait (months? years?) until the blackish color faded. They had to be kidding, right? When I arrived at Salon 2b, Daniel assured me that he takes his time with a color correction, which makes all the difference (damage can occur if it's done too quickly). First, he carefully analyzed my hair, showed me a color chart, and talked with me at length about the plan of action He then gently massaged bleach into my hair, slowly lifting out the muddy asphalt color. Once that was rinsed out, Daniel applied a chestnut brown (much more suitable for my complexion than what I'd been doing previously) and some highlights to create depth. My hair was then deep conditioned, and finished with an amazing blowdry. The entire procedure took about 3 hrs. of his focused attention. The result was a head full of glamorous, soft, shiny chestnut brown hair, shot through with dazzling cinnamon highlights. Not only was the transformation spectacular, but the entire experience was wonderful. Daniel's assistant, Christina, is lovely and kind. The salon -- a beautiful, serene, art-filled loft -- is casual and relaxed. Clients have their choice of beverages, including a delicious passion fruit Cosmo (the house specialty). Daniel's friendly pets -- two cats and a dog -- saunter through the loft and, if called upon, soothe away any apprehensions a client may have. You can be sure that I will recommend Salon 2b to everyone I know. Note: Expert color corrections aren't cheap. This one was definitely worth it. I hear that it can sometimes be difficult to get an appointment, so be tenacious. I was lucky -- there was a snow storm this week when I called, and there had been a cancellation. Lucky, lucky me.

Excellent, friendly salon. I have been moving a lot over the last 6 years and each time I move I dread having to find a new colorist and stylist....well, now I don't have to look any further. I had a wonderful experience at salon 2b. My highlights look fantastic but even more importantly it's exactly what I was looking for. And then, as an added bonus, Daniel fixed up a cut for me. The salon itself is beautiful, airy and open and comfortable. And Chai and the wine just complete the already very satisfying experience. I will be going back.

I highly recommend salon 2b.

Great Cut!. I had the same look for way to long, I needed a change. I had an idea of what I wanted. I went to Daniel. He is Great! First he listened to what i wanted, i asked him suggestions. I Loved My Hair Cut, he didn't cut it too short - something i was a afraid of. He wanted to make me look "Super Cute" and definitely did. I LOVE IT! He's a really friendly, mellow guy. Christina- the receptionist was really sweet. Great Atmosphere, Great place.

A treat for your hair... I had my third haircut with Daniel a couple of days ago but this is my first review. And I have to say that his cuts are simply fabulous. I'm a pretty tough critique when it comes to my hair & have done the usual stylist-hopping in the past out of mere disappointment. But Daniel is absolutely wonderful and has won my loyalty as a client. 2b offers a warm and inviting environment, great service, & a delightful experience for you and your hair.

Truly the ultimate in talent, service and authenticity!!. I have been a fan of Daniel's since I found him highly rated on Citysearch a number of years ago. About a year ago, I lost track of him when an unnamed salon in the city gave me an erroneous report of his new location - they claimed he moved outstate!! I was devastated, and attempted to find a stylist that could make me happy. It was a lost cause and one day on my computer I decided to Google his name. I was beyond thrilled to see he and Zhauna have their own salon ( with Christina as a most impressive and polite receptionist and cocktail-maker extrordinaire!) and immediately made an appointment.

The salon is intimate and exclusive as well a comfortable and relaxing - a most unusual combination in the city. The pets are a delightful addition and add to the zen ambience of the fabulous loft. It was such a delight to see Daniel again ,meet Zhauna, Christina and the pets and have my hair in the hands of a master stylist whose ultimate goal is to have you love your hair every day. And after my session, I do!! I can style it myself!!! - straight, wavy or a mess of curls and it looks beyond fabulous. Words cannot express my gratitude - my bad hair days are over and I will never lose track of Daniel again!!!

Best Hair Salon!. Had my hair cut and highlighted by Zhauna for the first time a few weeks ago - she's so amazing! My hair looks great and I've gotten tons of compliments. Love absolutely everything about this place - including the friendly vibe, tasty drinks and adorable pets! Best hair salon experience I've ever had. . .
