In Short
This stylish restaurant/bar tucked inside World Wide Plaza blends traditional cook-it-yourself Korean barbecue with trendy Asian-fusion nibbles. Stone slatted walls, glass partitions and marble tabletops evoke a fashionable Zen backdrop for chic snacks like daikon-wrapped lobster and beet rolls and chili-glazed chicken "drumettes" sitting atop fried green plantains. Barbecue choices stretch from the common short rib to an offbeat ostrich, and the smokeless grills spare the wardrobe of lingering cooking odors.

I am an American brought by a Korean friend who was recommended by her Aunt. This was my first experience with Korean bbq, and it was great. The food was exceptionally good. If I remember correctly, we had Doeji-Bulgogi (Spicy Pork) and the miso soup base with beef and vegetables (I regret that I don't remember the name of this). Glad to see that the food was authentic in that it was very similar to what Korean friends had made for me before. Too often I am disappointed by Americanized versions. My Korean friends also exclaimed how good the food was, a certain credit to the food! The atmosphere is beautiful, elegant and yet cozy. The service was fast and very good. I would say it was very professional. Certainly more on the pricey end (the servings are generous, you might want to keep this in mind). Worth every penny for the atmosphere, the experience of cooking your own food, and that each bite is great. The food display was even worth taking a picture of! I'm glad that we didn't take the walk down to Korean Way and that we decided to eat at Bann. Recommended for anyone who is seeking great Korean food or looking to try something new. A fine experience!

This place is beautifully designed and great for dates, family meals, or anything that involves good company....there are even tapestries separating the tables that are closer together so you have more privacy. The food is delicious, especially the Korean BBQ which is a ton of fun too! And the staff is friendly, patient, and attentive.
