The BEST Lychee Martinis & Korean Tacos in town.. Dan is the bartender, and he makes the most amazing lychee martinis. They are so delicious. I don't normally like sweet martinis, because they are usually too sweet/syrupy. Dan's lychee martinis, however, are mellow and...just delicious. Try to get there at Happy Hour (4-7pm) and get 'em for $5 a pop, even though they are worth non-Happy Hour price, too.

Bann's spicy pork Korean Tacos are also quite the treat. They're so good, I haven't tried anything else on the menu, and I'm in no rush...

Thank you, Dan & Bann! I look forward to you every Friday afternoon!

Delicious. I am an American brought by a Korean friend who was recommended by her Aunt. This was my first experience with Korean bbq, and it was great.

The food was exceptionally good. If I remember correctly, we had Doeji-Bulgogi (Spicy Pork) and the miso soup base with beef and vegetables (I regret that I don't remember the name of this). Glad to see that the food was authentic in that it was very similar to what Korean friends had made for me before. Too often I am disappointed by Americanized versions. My Korean friends also exclaimed how good the food was, a certain credit to the food!

The atmosphere is beautiful, elegant and yet cozy. The service was fast and very good. I would say it was very professional.

Certainly more on the pricey end (the servings are generous, you might want to keep this in mind). Worth every penny for the atmosphere, the experience of cooking your own food, and that each bite is great. The food display was even worth taking a picture of!

I'm glad that we didn't take the walk down to Korean Way and that we decided to eat at Bann.

Recommended for anyone who is seeking great Korean food or looking to try something new.

A fine experience!

Best Korean BBQ!!. This place is beautifully designed and great for dates, family meals, or anything that involves good company....there are even tapestries separating the tables that are closer together so you have more privacy. The food is delicious, especially the Korean BBQ which is a ton of fun too! And the staff is friendly, patient, and attentive.

Great Food, Great Service. Went there for a birthday dinner. Had reservations but most of the group was late. the Hostess was very accomdating while we waited for the rest of our party and had no poblem seating us while we waited for the others the come.

The restaurant looks great. Had never been to Korean restaurant before and we all were very impressed. Some of us ordered the barbecue and we able to cook our meat right at the table which was very exciting and fun. We all had such a good time there.I would def recommend to everyone.

My husband and I enjoyed traditional vodka SOJO, with unforgeteble meal.

Great food, Great drinks and spotty service. Let me start out and say that I love the food at Bann. I eat there at least once a month. I take most of my clients there and I have recommended Bann to numerous friends. The appetizers, esp. the chili drumsticks, the dungness crab rolls and the prawn dumplings are excellent. The BBQ is also definately a treat. I get the large prawns in chili sauce and they are wonderfully flavored without being too spicy. I made my monthly trip to Bann last night and ordered my usual fare. I included another staple of mine - the bim bam bop (fried rice with veggies in a stone bowl). Bann lets you add chicken or beef to this dish. Over a dozen times before, I have asked them to add spicy pork instead of the other choices and they complied without a problem. Last night, I was told by the waiter that this substitution was impossible and has never been done in the past. I HATE IT WHEN WAITERS CALL ME A LIAR!! (he also bought me the wrong rice dish but that is another story). Being insulted when I am paying $200+ for dinner with a friend infuriated me and I am still mad today (can you tell???)

I have my choice of places to eat and I am seriously considerly not to go back to Bann though I love the food. I wonder how the owner would feel if he knew that a waiter was costing him his regulars by insulting them?

By the way. . the bartender is a great guy and pours excellent drinks. It's a shame that one bad waiter can spoil what was a great relationship between restaurant and patron.

Dishonest staff---check your tips on credit cards!. Good drinks and nice atmosphere don't make up for the fact that the staff is essentially stealing from customers! I and my coworkers frequent this restaurant after work. I randomly checked my bank account the other day and noticed that the charge from the night before was high. When I called the manager, he said it had been entered correctly at the restaurant, and it must have been an error at my bank. ....seems really unlikely--when I checked with friends, they found that their tips, in the restaurant AND at the bar, had been increased as well. And I had commented on how nice the bartender was. Won't go back there again.

Romantic, cozy, great service, fabulous food, drinks are h*t or miss...but overall it's my favorite place!!. I love to dine out in the city, and I try to visit a lot of restaurants. But Bann is still my favorite, for the complete dining experience. It is quiet, cozy and romantic. The service is outstanding...the food is amazing...we always order the jap chae appetizer, rib eye, filet mignon, or black tiger prawn barbecue, fried rice, and hot chocolate cake (best lava cake ever!). Everything is always fresh and delicious. They also give you extra goodies, like salads, and Korean appetizers, also lettuce to make wraps. The drinks are definitely h*t or miss...sometimes they are right on...i did find that the pomegranate martini is always good...so when all else fails! The only thing is that you have to be careful with the fried rice, they serve it with tons of red pepper flakes in it...so we always get it without and they never give us a problem. So if you can't eat too much spicy food, remember to tell them. I love Bann!
