The Scene
The decor feels faintly Scandinavian, with blond wood walls, floors, and communal tables topped with white lacquer, while the crowd exemplifies worldly and eclectic--young, mature, straight, gay, groups, dates, suits and jeans. The often-confused service, unfortunately, is in no one's time zone.
The Food
A "skewer" bar introduces the diverse offerings, with meats and fish healthily grilled and hinted with various "scents." Fish, like the orange-tinged shrimp, pick up these hints more than meats, such as the surprisingly timid chili beef and clove pork, but the opposite holds true with the mains. Cornish hen retains a comforting, juicy essence, and confit of duck infuses a slightly sweet and peppery spirit. The portions are small, and the still-hungry should tread carefully on the dessert menu, which ranges from an interesting Vietnamese coffee flan with charred pineapple and sea salt to a downright strange balsamic ice cream with olive oil biscuit and figs.

I had a birthday dinner party with my friends on Saturday night, we absolutely enjoyed it. The candle lit dining room is so beautiful. Our server is friendly and very attentive. I had the delicious apple martini, the too many ingredients prawn! Im glad followed the servers suggestions. He even brought out a delicious piece of chocolate mouse cake with a candle at the end of our meal! I felt like I had spend a fortune, but I didnt. We had a good time and with these prices, I will definitely go back.

Rarely coming down from the upper east side, I have found the perfect restaurant. Not only was the food was delicious and the room gorgeous, but the prices are out of this world. My date and I each had appetizers, entrees and desserts, (including a delicious pinot noir) for near to nothing! The most expensive entrtee was $16!!!! Unbelievable in NYC!!!
