Editorial Review for SOL – by Angela Gaimari
In Short
This polished industrial space--with soaring ceilings, brick walls and massive speakers pounding out house and lounge-y techno music--plays host to a crowd of true club-goers. Gays, girls and straight guys comingle on the dance floor, at tables, and at the large bar area in front. Stealing the show is the slightly elevated dance floor in back, where saucy go-go girls in wild wigs dance in prime view of folks in the roped-off VIP area.

Insider Tips
Where to SitLeather booths line the entirety of the club, so snag one and hope that no one with bottle service bumps you out of your seat.
Save MoneyAdmission is $20, but visit groovetickets.com for $15 reduced entry.
Look GoodIt's flexible here: you can go all out or stay low key, as long as "low key" doesn't mean jeans and sneakers.

We came here to meet friends for someone's bday. Security was ridiculous - to the point that I felt violated at the amount they felt you up! Once we got inside, we waited forever for unresponsive staff to give us EXTREMELY over-priced drinks - the bartender couldn't even remember the 3 drinks we told her because she was taking everyones orders at the same time, yet not filling them. They automatically add a large tip onto your bar tab which, in my opinion, was definitely NOT deserved. The crowd was pretty sleazy. One guy blatantly knocked a brand new full drink out of my hand and then hid behind his friends in the corner without an apology or god-forbid offering to buy a new one. The dance floor was crowded with creeps trying to rub up on you at every chance they got - gross - and the music selection was weird.. Overall, awful and I would never go back.
Pros: Large space
Cons: everything else

I got there @ 10pm, as my B~day ticket said "Doors open @ 10". Needless to say, no one was allowed in until almost 11pm. Let me remind you that it was EMPTY inside. Once we were inside, they search you like you were visiting @ Rikers. The promoter promised me a bottle, and of course we didn't see it. Some of my friend's that arrived later on at night wasn't given a discount, and they had to pay $30, which is more that the regular price, and for what? The music SUCKED. TECHNO, and weird music, not even TOP 40 was played. The drinks were WAAAAY toooo expensive. They were very selective on line, they only allow 99% undressed girls go in. The crowd were pretentious, obnoxious and TRASHY. I would never go back if they invited me back for FREE again!!! BTW what's up with their I kid you not $1,000 regular tequila bottle service? Great b~day? WORST B~day, thanks to SOL!!!!
Pros: Great decor
Cons: Prices, people, promoters, MUSIC and everything else.
