Great food, beers, wine and service, and wicked music!. I am in love with this little bar. It is very european in its style and offering, yet fits perfectly in downtown manhattan. I cannot have enough of it, the music has not let me down even once. If you want a cozy place for a wine, a chat and great tunes, don't look elsewhere, Epistrophy is your place.

Amateur hipster bartender. I had completely different experiences here depending on who the server was. The first time I stopped for drinks and had a delightful evening. So I brought 2 friends back and had horrendous, attitude filled service that was spectacularly dismissive and rude.

The room is fun and the winelist is good, but I could never recommend this place.

Fantastic food. The food is great, the atmosphere is lovely, and prices are very reasonable. The mezze platters are the best deal around - great cheese, a small is enough to feed two people. The service is not phenomenal so you might have to be a little proactive when you need something.

Good wine, if you can get them to serve you. The wine here is very, very strong. A nice selection, good quality, etc.

The service is usually non-existent, and once you actually get someone's attention, they're phenomenally rude and unhelpful. Truth be told, given the number of genuinely good spots throughout New York where you can get good food and drinks without rude, snarky service, why would you bother going to a place like this one?

That said, if you find yourself here, the quality of food and wine is quite strong, so it won't feel like a complete loss.

nice place to chill.... I love this place. The service is wonderful, the owners are just so nice. I tried the panini and I realize now that anything I thought was panini before was just a bad imitation. Great place to chill out with friends.

Very cozy. A perfect spot to go to when the weather is not too agreeable. The wine is nice, though we would have loved a little more to choose from, food-wise. Also a god place to bring a book on a slow sunday.

awesome chill wine bar. Cozy, chill, cool vibe. This wine bar rocks when you went to just chill with friends, chat. The owners are so nice and friendly it's like sitting in their house. bartender was great with recommending things as well. overall great neighborhood joint

Nice and relaxing. A very good place just to chill w/ friends & drink some wine w/ finger food. The wine was very good by recommendation of the waitress after we told her what we wanted. Appetzr plate was a great choice with the wine. Very friendly & unrushed. Decor and seating was way below average and a bit uncomfortable.
