professional, knowledgeable, and second to none

Nicholas is a true master of his profession. His knowledge is unmatched. His clinic is professional, clean, and simply promotes wellbeing. I always look forward to my appointments as he spends quality time with you, truly listens to you and is interested in you in order to gain the full picture of how to treat you. I started going both to improve my general health and to treat other specific issues which have vastly improved not just as a result of the acupuncture treatment itself, but with his helpful knowledge of so many different area that can help improve your lifestyle and quality of life. Nicholas is truly unique in his art and as a person - I've tried many different acupuncturists, but none of them match him or his clinic. Thank you Nicholas!

Changed My Life

I was suffering from intense anxiety and depression. After visiting my family doctor and psychiatrist, they both recommended that I go on some sort of medication. Neither of them cared and just sent me home with prescriptions like glorified salesman. That worsened my condition and even though my general feeling was that of hopelessness, I wanted there to be another way. My sister suggested that I try acupuncture and brought me to Nicholas. I have a fear of needles so during the treatment, it heightened my anxiety. I wasn't convinced that needles would make my anxiety attacks go away but I was open to try anything that could potentially end my suffering. After a few sessions, I felt no improvement at all. However, Nicholas set my expectations when he told me that I wouldn't notice any changes right away. Acupuncture aside, it was very therapeutic to speak to him. I was so comfortable speaking my mind that I would go over the time permitted for the sessions and he never rushed me or interrupted me. Seven sessions into it, he concluded the treatment. I felt things changing gradually and it wasn't until six months later that everything in my life was back to normal. I know it sounds cliche but I never thought I'd get passed the hell I going through. I'm skeptical by nature but it was the only catalyst and I sought out no other treatment. Each day, I literally felt like I was viewing life through a dark filter. Looking back, Nicholas was the light at the end of the tunnel. Not a day goes by that I don't feel grateful for how I got my life back.

Balancing acupuncture

When I moved to New York City, I wanted to find an acupuncturist. I looked online and took chance on Nicholas Steadman based on his education. I have been more than pleased with the quality of care, knowledge of acupuncture and Chinese herbal remedies and effectiveness of his treatments. Since I have been going to the Steadman Clinic, I have more energy and my immune system is so much stronger than before, which is especially important to me being new to the pace and energy of New York City.

Nicholas is a kind, patient and knowledgable healer. When I leave my acupuncture treatment, I always feel more balanced and centered. I highly recommend him if you need an acupuncturist.

A great acupuncturist in New York City for nerve pain.

I came to Dr. Steadman for nerve pain and found that he is an incredibly zenful listener and very much wants to heal you. He is very aware of your needs and makes sure that you are comfortable and being taken care of. I recommend him highly for acupuncture.

The answer you've been looking for

I've been to acupuncturists before who never helped-- but my experience here has really changed my lifestyle. Nicholas treats your whole person, not just your individual ailments. I feel like I've finally found someone in NYC that genuinely cares about my well-being.

I originally made an appointment because I hurt my right knee, and I had additional aches and pains on the right side of my body over the past year or two. The treatments have been helpful for these problems, and I've also experienced additional benefits: My period, which normally ranges from nauseating to debilitating, was light and not bad at all this month. I've been sleeping better. And in general I feel more balanced and in control.

The positive results I've experienced are not just from the acupuncture. Nicholas has prescribed a blend of herbs specific for my body, talked to me about my diet and lifestyle, and been a great ear when most doctors usually take out a prescription pad. I recommend him to all my friends.
