Urban Homes undoubtedly makes a very nice product. Their prices are reasonable for New York City and the materials used are top of the line. However, the company is far too small for the number of jobs they take on. They are dreadfully slow throughout construction and unresponsive to emails and phone calls, their workers are disrespectful to the area surrounding the construction site (they made no attempt to clean the area or keep dust and dirt from invading the rest of the apartment), and they are extremely slow to respond to any problems experienced after the construction was complete. As anyone that has done a renovation is aware, there are usually minor problems that need to be addressed with plumbing, wiring etc. With Urban homes, after the last paycheck was received, it has been near impossible to get them to return to fix these issues, leaving me with partially functional spaces for weeks on end. The bottom line is that if you are an incredibly tolerant person without any time constraints, Urban Homes will produce an amazing product. However, for anyone that looks for efficiency, responsiveness, and respect from their renovation team, I highly suggest shopping around or at least checking with a few references to see about other peoples experience with the company.

Urban homes know some of the best kitchen designers and the heads of cabinet, hardware, appliance and counter top manufacturing companies, as well as the best of local kitchen and remodeling companies. You must learn not to believe promises and see in your own eyes the kitchens, cabinets, and baths they're doing.
