Superior Services!

I just had a great experience at Yin Beauty & Arts Spa that I felt obligated to share . I had booked a microdermabrasion treatment to clear up my skin just before my 20th marriage anniversary. And boy! What a fantastic deal I got. It?s much much cheaper than what you get at a doctor?s office! It was less that half the price!!!! And they did an excellent job too. My therapist was very good and knowledgeable. She suggested me to get a hydrating facial and it made so much sense. I got many compliments at my party.
- Pros: great value and great services, really helpful beauty tips for inside out
Can't take the forceful sales pitch!!!!!!!!!

WARNING: You will be getting a very hard & insistent sales pitch to buy their skin products after treatment. I understand this is business & they're trying to make the money but they REALLY overdo it. I went to this spa for package facial/massage long time ago & treatment was actually really wonderful. So I'm thinking while I'm on the table, wow, I think I'll come back here. Until, I had to pay, therapist insisted that I buy their skin care product & make another appoint for more expensive facial now. I was stupid enough to buy the product because you pay at one & only table. You're face to face not with the cashier but with the therapist that just gave you a treatment. I felt so uncomfortable & ended up buying the product just to get away. I said I'll never come back then. But I ended up getting another coupon in e-mail, this time was for massage. So I thought, what could they sell after massage. I thought I was safe from hard sell. Well, at end of "satisfactory" massage treatment, therapist says my face needs facial, while I'm still on the table trying to relax, tells me they have a promotion right now on price of facial. I said ok, maybe in the future, she says that I need to book this today! to honor this price. For god sake, I just had the massage, did I ask her about facial? I come to spa to relax and not to get sold> I don't understand this spa. So now I go to pay this therapist, who shows me serum for my face (I'm sure it's expensive, I dare not & didn't want to ask the price). Tells me I need to buy this, because I'll get wrinkles. I came back for massage only because I thought I was safe from them trying to sell me stuff. I thought what could they try to sell for massage? As I walked out, I vowed I'm never coming back ever for any treatment. You're made to feel guilty if you don't buy anything. I never saw a spa where they tell you that you have to book a facial now or the price won't be same. What kind of place is this?
Beware the upsell

I've been to the UWS location twice now and the facials are decent. However, the constant upsell is probably going to prevent me from returning a third time. Don't think you are going to book a standard facial and get away with it. The whole time you are in the room trying to relax they are trying to add this mask, that eye treatment, this peel, microderm etc. It's a hard sell from the second you get on the table. If I really wanted $300 in extras I would have asked for them in the first place. No, I'm not exaggerating on the $300 in extras- I did the math on all of the things that were being proposed to me and if I would have said yes to all of them- my facial would have been over $400 in total.
- Pros: Nice staff, decent facial
- Cons: Pushy $$$ upselling
