must visit. Great place to go to,

with friends or a date it is always fun and the drinks are awesome and not crazy expensive, the vibe is mostly chill except the weekends but that's everywhere. I love it because it is fancy looking but not uptight and one can relax and enjoy.

Saturday Night. My friends and I decided to go in on a bottle last night so that we could have one of the couches at this bar, and lemme tell you, best choice we ever made. Wasn't that expensive, plus I was sitting next to Thomas Jane (from Hung). The service was quick, and it wound up being one f the most memorable nights out ever.

awesome!!!. This is a cool place to hang out,

It's like your cool great-uncle's study, the wood and fabric on the walls and drinks and cups, old paintings and booze, awesome. PLUS no frats screaming drunk at a TV nor sleazy Guidos to spoil the landscape.

A definite find!!

The Back Room is SO FUN. I didn't want to leave. I was there until they literally turned on the lights and started herding us towards the door. I loved the dark sexy room, the cute tea cups, the strong drinks, and the MUSIC! I had no idea people danced there! I want to go back for my birthday or New Years Eve or something. A good place to get bottle service because they aren't crazy expensive. This was the sexiest bar I have been in for a long time.

amazing experince. LOVED IT!

I went there to celebrate my birthday, cause I wanted it to be something really special. And it couldn't be more so!

I loved that the cups were hidden inside of these antique globes and revealed when we opened our bottle!

The whole experience was like going back in time. The whole place is just full of little time treasures like chandeliers, globes, nude paintings... It's like partying in the coolest party museum in the world. There is even a crazy phone booth in a mini hallway by the bathroom.

My friends were even allowed to sneak in a surprise cake that a (super cool) waitress brought out with candles exactly at midnight!

Amazing experience! I don't want to miss a weekend without going back!

Terrific spot....Great vibe from A to Z. Loved everything about this place....the crowd was very attractive and not a buch of kids, the DJ had everyone rocking last Saturday. Service was excellent in the lounge, the waitress was attentive, friendly and 5'11'' .......The drinks were served in teacups. I found that odd, so I asked a security guy "Why?" He explained to me that the place actually was a speakeasy back during prohibition and thats the way drinks were served to hide alcohal from the cops back in the '20s.....great looking room, attractive crowd, solid DJ and a history lesson by a security guy in an authentic speakeasy joint! Priceless

Crazy Rude Waitress. Cool hangout, music ok, tea cups/mugs a bit kitschy but whatever, bartenders think they're too hot to be doing bar work.

Went on a Friday night, and even if the place wasn't packed, saw many people get turned at the door for no apparent reason (hat on / tshirt on / shoelaces untied / not enough girls etc). Piece de resistance: Girl in my party was asked to leave once the Asian waitress noticed her. Reason given: waitress is feeling "uncomfortable". Listen, I don't care what drama you had back in 8th grade, but grow up. It's a public place.

Speakeasy chic. As an infrequent visitor to the LES, I found this place cute and your token cool kid hangout-tons of beanies and boots. Just finding this place is half the fun. After trapsing through an out of the way(read: slightly sketchy) alley, we found ourselves in a hidden, dimly lit space. Cute bartenders served us our drinks in teacups, which were dainty yet as the night wore on, balancing them on saucers became more of a challenge as well as frustrating, given the portion size. The space is gorgeous- cozy, old paintings and antique furniture give it the feel of a scene out of Great Expectations...minus the bouncers and DJ. More of a one and done type of place as opposed to a regular hang out. Would be a cool place to have a party, provided your group can find the joint.

The place has gone downhill.. It's all pretty kitschy, but everyone loves a bit of kitsch when they're drunk. Decor is nice, but save your time and go spend your money at a better bar... unless you really like being treated like sh.t by the bouncer/bartenders, getting served weak drinks in tiny quantities, and being surrounded by tourists, wannabes, and insecure a-holes.
