Editorial Review for Flight Club New York – by Keith Wagstaff
In Short
Crowds of mostly male sneaker enthusiasts squeeze into this narrow shop, browsing through the kaleidoscopic collection of limited edition and vintage sneakers, their patron saint Michael Jordan looking on from collaged wallpaper. While there is a small collection of other brands such as A Bathing Ape and Reebok, it's all about the swoosh here. From plaid high-tops to vintage Air Jordans, this store's extensive Nike collection runs the full gamut of colors and styles.

They don't care, they don't have to? My teeners were desperate to go see and "buy" Before leaving for our flight we took a $25.00 cab ride to the store only to find out they were not open. We called and there was no info on hours, days, etc.. We peered thru the steel gate and watched as they stacked shoes, laughed at us thru the glass and screen and disappeared. So, we went to Ground Zero and quick lunch. We arrived at 11:15 and were still waiting at 12:30..still not open. People would gather than leave, we waited. The gate would come up and down and they would not talk to us. Too busy, busy for what, to sell shoes? They sell new Nike sneakers at 5x's the price. Vintage, not really. My kids bought Nike Peacocks for $80.00 (with money earned as a grocery bag boy) their choice, they were for sale there for over $300.00. They will be out of businees long before Nike. Skip the flight club and just go your local shoe store and get your Nike sneaks!! Flight Club has alot to learn about sales and customers .
Pros: None
Cons: Hard to Find, Rude Sales staff, No hours or times on phone, Unmarked Door

The shop has reinvented "the sneaker" image and provides a good atmosphere for collectors and just customers alike!!! The ambiance is the unusual familiar type where you feel like you have gone back to the sneaker shoppes from the 80s with current SNEAKS. Definitely recommended... for those who just want a pair of decent sneaks to the all time collector...YOU WANT IT, THEY HAVE IT!!!
Pros: If they dont have it, they will tell you where to get it...
