So happy with Lizzie!. Lizzie is a fantastic stylist who really listens to what you want and is uber friendly to boot! It is SO hard to find a salon in NYC that has both great prices and talent. After many strike-outs at super expensive, highly-rated (why?) salons over the past 3 years - I was so happy to find this place (well really to find Lizzie). The atmosphere is funky and hip even if the space is really small. But, I have to say I have been pretty disappointed on more than one occasion with the phone rapport of another stylist named Marissa there. The first time she gave me the ol' "salon snob" attitude - I chalked it up to a bad day. But, treating your clients over the phone like they are wasting your time is never a good approach. Her reviews are great here for hair - but, nothing excuses telling your clients that "I am doing like 25 things here" when you are just trying to make or schedule an appt. Bad form! Hence the missing fifth star... Hopefully she isn't this snobby in person - it would be a shame to ruin such a great find in salons!

love them!. I've never gotten the color I wanted until I put my hair in the hands of these girls. They know what they're doing and I've never gotten more compliments since they started coloring my hair. Cool people. Love this place.

best haircut!. I found out about this salon via the citysearch site and was apprehensive about trusting my long locks to a place I nor any friend of mine had visited before. But it proved to be the best decision ever. I was a regular patron at a west side establishment and while I was never ridiculously disappointed with my style I found that no matter what I requested I always come out with the same exact haircut I had received 6 months before. This was definitely not the case at k e haas. I went in, told Kat what I was interested in, and she went to work giving me the best haircut ever! I have never received so many compliments on my hair -- whether it's straight or naturally curly the style looks perfect!!

Best Under 35 Salon - in NY - that is saying alot. This was the single best haircut I have been on the reciepient side on of my life. BRAVO! LADIES!

Wow, My Hair Looks Amazing!. This laid-back salon looked so inviting, I just walked in on a whim and asked if they could fix my locks, damaged by an overly-zealous Upper West Side Salon that perhaps should remain nameless (Scott J). Without any b.s. or hesitation, Marissa took to the task and created a funky, flattering shorter 'do that I've been getting beaucoup raves on. There was no "car wash" atmosphere, no relegating most of the work to assistants, no product-buying demands, and no stratospheric prices. Dayum, they even put more quarters in the parking meter for me! That's what I call a full-service salon. This affordable hair mecca is a real find, and I thought you should all know you can get a great look for a decent price and not feel like they can't wait to get you out of the chair, (cough), Scott J, (cough)!

Kat's skill with scissors got me a job. This woman has a natural talent for cutting hair and cutting it right. I told Kat that I had an important interview, and that i needed to look preppy (when i'm anything but) and that i'd like to also be able to mess my hair up and have it look good when i wasn't in the office. She gave me just what i wanted on Saturday and I got the job TODAY!

You have nothing to worry about!!!. My nappy hair was used and abused with brassy bottled color and punk rock strips of black. I thought my hair was beyond help and it was going to cost me a fortune to get it fixed. As a model in NYC whose stylist is in Miami I was in need of miracle and that is exactly what I found at K E Hass. 20 days later my hair looks amazing in my photos and is exaclty the color I wanted. Charming salon and so super friendly. This time I got more than my moneys worth and that never happens. I challenge you to find a salon that can offer you more!

K.E. Haas rocks!. I already had a hair stylist in my neighborhood that I was very happy with, but I wanted to give K.E. Haas a try since they are friends of a friend. Marissa cut & colored my hair and I was soooo happy with the results that I now come all the way in from Brooklyn to get my hair did! I'm a rock musician, so my hair style is a bit funkier than most but I also referred two other friends with more conservative tastes and they were also extremely pleased with their K.E. Haas experience.

These wonder stylists give you what you want. I went into Ke Haas wanting to grow out my hair but also to update and refine my look. Marissa gave me a great cut, very fun with a rockstar vibe but also didn;t take too much off, so I wasn't discouraged at the prospect of continuing to grow out my hair. It is a very comfortable and friendly environment with cool and highly skilled stylists. I couldn't believe what a bargain it was too! I got a better cut than in my previous ventures to Louis Licari and Vidal Sassoon for half the price.

Funky, fun and affordable!. I went to k e haas for my first haircut in NYC and it was a great choice! The girls are so friendly and easygoing and the atmosphere is really relaxed and funky. I have always had really long hair that was a mess after my friend cut it (not a good idea!) but they fixed it at k e haas salon and now am i not only happy that i cut it, but i am also getting so many compliments on it!
