Mediocre Food
by gaiamcraft
I have had really excellent Ethiopian food so I'm just a bit biased. But this place, while not terrible, was not memorable either. The dishes were bland, the injera was a bit too moist, and the interior is nothing at all really. But the food is cheap and filling. Nothing really stands out and thus there is nothing special to return for.
A unique and delicious experience!

Awash provides the diner with a feast for the eyes, touch and taste, making it a wonderful dining experience. Every meat and vegetable dish I've tried thus far (and that's most of the menu) is wonderfully seasoned and unique. The bread is nice and spongy and soaks up the various sauces beautifully. For a treat try the honey wine which is to die for.
- Pros: Unique food experience, friendly service
- Cons: Slightly pricey
I love this place

I simply love this spot. I think I can eat here everyday, that's how great the food is. For those who love spicy food this is a must try. My family and I always enjoy coming here and leave with a full belly and a smile on our face.
- Pros: Delicious
- Cons: At times it can be a bit crowded
Awesome food, service, great for people new to Ethiopian food. You Beauty.

I was very happy with this place. A good selectrion of food on the menu, and especially good value are the combination plates. For about $30 for two, we shared a plater of 6 differnet dishes off the menu. Spicy chicken, grilled beef, different vegetables, all served with plenty of the delicate, tender bread. The wine menu is not extravagant, but they stick to simple, low cost varieties.
Water glasses filled promptly and repeatedly, and friendly (and just attentive enough) service, in a restaurant at 75% capacity, was a pleasure.
- Pros: almost everything
- Cons: wine list
Pleasant surprise

This was my first time having Ethiopian food and I had no idea what to expect. The spongelike bread was neutral enough so that it did not take away from the taste of the wonderfully spiced food. We went early enough so it wasn't crowded and our stunningly beautiful waitress could explain to us what the different dishes were. The service was fine and the ambiance was relaxed enough so that we could really enjoy the meal. I will definitely be coming back with other friends. :)
- Pros: Inexpensive, Good sized portions, Relaxing atmosphere
