BEST HAIRSTYLISTS IN NYC!. OC 61 deserves that many stars alone as everyone there is just so friendly and nice! Not a hint of snobbery in the salon. However, this review is mainly for Zane and Momo.

ZANE - God, where do I even begin with this man? I have been his client for over 7 years now and I have followed him from 3 salons now. The honest truth? I would gladly, willingly follow this man to the ends of the earth. He is amazing when it comes to mixing colors for my hair. I'm Asian and since we're naturally dark-haired, it is extremely difficult to give us lighter hair that looks natural. But Zane can do it. He gives me these highlights that brighten up my face and makes me look like I just spent 2 weeks in a luxe vacation somewhere exotic and warm. I leave his chair looking like the best version of myself.

MOMO - This chick is probably the best hairstylist in all of NYC. She cuts my hair amazingly. Just amazingly. Whether I wanted long hair one day, short hair the next, she rolls with it and gives me the best haircut that totally frames my face beautifully.

As I keep on telling my friends, going to these two is like going to my therapist. They make me feel confident and beautiful and I leave the salon looking like a million bucks!!

Oksana Usherenko is great!!!!. I'll start by saying I have never felt so relaxed then today.. I had gotten my amazing facial from this Esthetician named Oksana Usherenko.. she's the most professional esthetician I have ever gone too! Her touch is sensational and she uses beautiful aroma-therepy Decleor products which make you feel great.. She uses different techniques, like the one's I had today, which was shiatsu pressure points, hand massage, and reflexology- which is all included with the facial. It's outstanding!!!! I recommend to have a facial before any special occasion (: You will absolutely love it!

PS: And the room she works in is very peaceful and has beautiful photography, relaxing music, and a tranquil environment.. Totally worth it!

experience blown away hair with valentino longo. the salon is a gem with plenty of personal attention,not only by Valentino, but by the entire staff. Everyone is enthusiastic and attentive about products ,services, and advice without being aggressive or pushy. It is spotless! They serve cappucino and refreshments. I have frequented some of the best and well known salons in Manhattan but I have never felt as welcome as here. There is Bergdorf , Barney's and Bloomies in addition to hotels such as the Four Seasons. It is next door to Serrafina where the pizza and ambience great as well as Geisha, a great dining experience. i could go on about all the benefits of going to oc61, but the most important thing is their super professional services .It is in a league with the best in the city for hairstyling, Valentino is a star!

he has oodles of experience and can make you look like a star...even better...he gives you plenty of advice about how to care for your hair along with plenty of Italian charm and know how.

Zane Colorist. Moved from Hiro Haraguchi. I have been getting my hair highlighted by Zane for about

6 years. He is always consistent, and very talented.

Never had a bad color day!!. He recommended Penny James to cut my hair, and her hair cuts are the very best.

Penny James formerly of Hiro Haraguchi. I have been a devoted client of Penny Jame's for 10 years. I have never had a better haircut or blowdry. My sister and I now make monthly visits together to see Zane for our highlights and Penny for our haircuts.

We were happy to follow them when they moved recently, even happier to see the beautiful OC61 salon.

great place and Valentino Longo a real talent .... I went to OC61 Salon for the first time and Valentino Longo an italian with a musical accent gave me an awesome haircut! he used a dry-cut technique and my hair never look so sexy I get stopped everywhere by people who compliment my hair. The salon is very busy, perhaps the busiest on Madison and the staff there are warm and friendly. They serve the best capuccino I have had in a salon! I will be going back to Valentino from now on as he did such a great job!

Great Place for Afternoon of Indulgence!. Set in a peaceful, light, calming townhouse with patios and gardens in the back, OC 61 is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy an afternoon of indulgence or just an "in 'n out" blow-dry or manicure. The aenestician, Mzia Shiman, is without an equal in the city and the hair colorists, manicurists and stylists are all outstanding. I heartily recommend this salon for excellent services and a relaxing ambience in the middle of midtown (and right near Barneys for convenient shopping/lunch!).

For those who wont compromise with hair.. Laurie Daniel, at OC 61 is who you want to go to if and when you are ready to make the leap to or from BLONDE BOMBSHELL. I have been her loyal client for over 5 years and she is definitely NYC's best of the best. She has taken my long locks to various shades of golden blonde, cool red and caramel tobacco-like brunette. Never did my hair suffer any damage, and all colors were pro all the way. This was especially so when she highlighted my ebony roots during my blonde phase (about 4 years). Anyone who knows about hair can comprehend how savvy a colorist must be to pull that one off in a classy and natural looking way.

I have compromised in the past with my hair before going to Laurie and have always regretted it. She gets two thumbs up from a NY girl with serious hair color commitment issues:)

Rafael Garcia, former stylist at John Sahag is now at OC 61. After cutting my hair for 10+ yrs at John Sahag, Rafael has joined OC61 and I'm so glad to have found him - he's a true artist!!

Laurie is a BLONDEs best friend. I have been going to Laurie Daniel at OC 61 for the last few years and I have never had such great experiences getting my color done. I just had an appointment and my hair looks great. Laurie's style is so unique. She knows exactly where to put the highlights and my blond is never one tone, tinny or bleached out (which I have dealt with at many other salons). Being that I have curly hair it isn't easy to know how it will look yet every time she does my hair each curl dries with the most perfect shades of blond. I am often around other hairdressers and they always comment on how clean the highlights are and are impressed by the depth of color. This is all topped of by the wonderful atmosphere at OC61 and Laurie's sweet and positive attitude. Getting my color done is no more a chore, but a treat.
