DASH DOGS is coming back!. according to a facebook page, they are coming back, anyone know anything?
yummy dogs. the avocado salsa on the hot dog is a great end after a night out. yummm. the sliders aren't bad either but i'd much prefer the dogs.
Late night Hot Dog Hot Spot. I am actually known to go to nearby bars just so that I can swing by Dash Dog on my way home. This place is amazing, especially after a few hours of cocktails. The choices are vast, the food is good and the service is excellent!!! Going here is always an adventure and I can't say enough good things about it.
dash is the place..... thought I would give this place a shot and yeah, it's good. i have the 2 slider 1 dog combo for 8 bucks and it was awesome. avocado, bacon, cheddar on1 slider, the other was chili sour cream and bacon, the dog was their rec. of a Stoner which was chili cheese and fritos. washed it down with a orange soda and was ready for a night of drinks. must try if you're in LES.
Best Doggies!.
I love this place! Everyone raves about Gray's...yes, you cannot beat the specials but there's only the usual boring condiments that tops those dogs.
This place does not have as much toppings as Crif dogs, but I love their dogs.
I cannot remember which one I had, but I had the one with chili/sour cream/bacon-DELISH!
They have a dog call STONE DOG? With Frito Chips...which brings me fond memories of home. Since we have FRITO PIES. If you know what Frito Pies are and you love them-then get yourself the STONE DOG.
The guys there are really nice and sweet too! Great attitude!!!!
After I ate there, I cannot stop craving their hot dogs!
good burgers. was here the other night after partying. My veggie dog was a little bland and very small. My friends burger was awesome.
Lower East Side Hotdog Haven.
I went to check out Dash a few time over the last couple of weeks and I have to say they do a great thing over there. The key to their success in my eyes are the toppings, the avocado salsa was amazing with the cheddar cheese and bacon, the cilantro salsa was pretty good too. I also had a chance to try their sliders which blew me away, 3 sliders and a soda for 7 bucks!, can't go wrong with that. The fellas behind the counter are as cool as they come, young and hip and they're even more daring than the drunk friends I went with, they were quick to suggest their ..ahem, infamous Stoned Dog but were open to trying any combination of toppings.
All in all a nice little spot that is typically found in the Lower East Side.
Tiny dog shack helps to satiate the Lower East Side's late-night munchies..
In Short
It's all about the dog here, the Empire National all-beef kosher dog, that is. The shack offers a dizzying array of toppings, but the Stone Dog--topped with hot chili and cheese and crushed fritos--is a customer favorite. The more health-conscious go for the veggie version, which can stay healthy with a topping of cilantro-garlic salsa or sliced avocados. Seating is limited to a few stools.
gotta love this dog shack. ok, so there are alot of hotdog places in the Lower East Side nowadays but how many can offer a good dog with a great variety of toppings? I had 3 dogs, avacado salsa, cilantro w/ garlic aioli and a stoned(chili cheese fritos) with a soda total cost? $7.50! They use Empire National Kosher Dogs and they do their Veggie stuff on a whole seperate grill! My wife is a pescatarian so the veggie dogs was a winner and the fact that they can respect a veg experience enough to put in a seperate grill makes her happy. Worth the trip just to check out the steel plated space with a beautiful center counter with no legs...oh, not to mention the dogs!
Finally..affordable hotdogs. This place is TOO COOL! the design is awesome but in the end it's about the hotdogs. First they use Kosher dogs at a good price (3.50 for 2 dogs and a soda) they charge 1 dollar extra for toppings on both dogs. I had the Cilantro Salsa on one and the Avacado on the other...they were pretty good, though I think the dogs could be fried crispier(?). They also have a veggie patty and veggie dog (not for me) but at least they were grilled on a seperate grill. Worth the trip for a inexpensive meal.
