so chill. this place was great. when i got there there was a line outside which i thought was gonna take forever to get into but it took like ten minutes. the bouncers were really nice and surprisingly not rude. you walk in and they scan your id into this big machine and the cover charge is 10 bucks. they have a huge screen where they were playing a college ball game. at first it was impossible to get to the bar but it cleared out and the fishbowl drinks were really awesome and the bartenders were really great. the best part of the night was the dj. he was playing the best music everything from stand by me to nookie and the mood was great everyone was dancing and having a great time. the prices are good and the greatest part was the bathrooms were actually really clean and not overcrowded. overall i had a great time and i will definately go back. plus there was alot of good looking guys =)

Terrible. This bar is awful. The line up outside stretched all the way to 6th Avenue, and it wasn't even busy inside when we got in there. They charge guys a $10 cover, and FORCE you to check your coat for an additional $3. Trying to get a drink was impossible because there were only TWO bartenders working. Later on in the night, the place was at capacity (probably close to 200) and still only two bartenders. You couldn't even get to the bar to order a drink because regulars (I can only assume) would order drinks and stay next to the bar so that they could avoid the impossible task of pushing their way back through for the next round.

DO NOT go to this bar unless you are looking to waste $13 on cover + coat check... and maybe get ONE drink before you get frustrated and leave.

Not As Bad as Everyone Says. Everyone rags on this place because it gets crowded and wild. But isnt that what your looking for at a place like Porkys? you get wasted on your birthday for nearly nothing and get to dance on the bar without caring what other think like your 16 again. Its spring break meets NYC which isnt so bad in my eyes.

so if your looking for a cheap drink and a wild night, Porkys is a good palce to be.

free drinks, but worst hangover ever!. sure, they offer a free open bar for an hour. but the next day you will pay for it!

it is a good old time, but chances are you won't remember it the next day.

very crowded, bad drinks, fishbowls which are wayyy too sweet. good if you are looking to get drunk off the cheapest liquor and dance on a bar, but bad for anything else.

the music starts out okay but gets progressively worse as the night goes on..

suckiest bar in nyc. This place sux, there drinks all gave me a crazy hangover for some reason none of there drinks taste like anything but some cheap liquor, there patron tasted like cheap tequila and i know patron, then the label from the cuervo was falling off like how many times they used that bottle. I will never go there unless u want to get a hangover. there food suz also, the only thing that was ok was there alright fishbowls. save urself the pain in the morning,

PORKYS IS A BLAST!. They have Beer Olympics on Tuesdays and each night has a really fun theme. Mondays is Monday Madness where they have really cheap drinks. I think it's something like $1 beer bottles, cheap good food, and their famous drink: the infamous FISHBOWL!! To find out what a fishbowl is, you should go to Porkys! Great venue for Birthdays and Bachelorette Parties too! I have friends that have done both and they've had a blast!

Every night of the week is a new, fun themed night!

Terrible Music, Mediocre Atmosphere. I just wanted to say that I never write reviews but I felt like it was necessary for this place. First of all, FIRE DJ ENDLESS. Probably the worst set of out-dated, bad, & scrappy music. The only thing they can boast about is their consistency. at least the music was indicative to their overall service; POOR! one star. sorry guys

DJ was an arrogant pig, Will never return, Avoid at all costs. This place is beyond terrible! The people are trashy, the drinks are outrageously priced and the men are pigs especially the DJ. The music was awful and DJ endless was the worst, it should be more like DJ WISH IT WOULD END!!! He had his shirt off like he had something to show and was playing music from what sounded like my 7th grade valentines day dance I would have rather listened to a dying cat. To top off the terrible music, I went with a debit card and had to charge a minimum of $35 and they did not tell me until I had already purchased my first martini. I would rate this place a negative 5 stars if I could, 1 star is being extremely generous in my eyes.

Go elsewhere.. Terrible. Interminable lines and a $20 cover on a Saturday night are just the tip of the iceberg. Once inside, instead of entering the simply raucous and wild college environment you would expect, you're packed into a fishbowl with elbows flying left and right to bad music - an incredibly tired selection of rap, r&b, rock and house - that makes you wonder why they even bothered with a DJ. Drinks are overpriced, especially considering the cover you just paid, and the free shots of watered down liquor do little to make up for it. Add the pushy and downright rude bouncers at the entrance, less than enthusiastic service from the bar staff, and agitated crowd, and you're guaranteed to have a night worth remembering for all the wrong reasons. Seriously, I don't expect much from a dive, but I better than the terrible night I had. Maybe I just caught the place on an off night, but I certainly will never be going back there.

If you're looking for an equally mayhem filled night without the hassle, where you actually get what you pay for, I'd recommend Calico Jacks or The Big Easy instead.
