What People Are Saying About Marion's Continental Rstrnt

In Short – When Marion Nagy ran the venue, she hosted Manhattan's socialites. Today's incarnation is a sophisticated, yet comfortable den carrying on that group's trademark: gossip. Friends recline in mismatched vintage sofas, chatting over after-work martinis (like the namesake dry Stoli gibson) and a charcuterie or cheese plate. A DJ or pianist might drop by, but unlike the campy Marion's restaurant or the spirited gay bar downstairs, the aim here is mellow and homey.
Editor's Tips
- Save Money:
- Happy hour, or "Relax Hours," is from 5pm to 8pm and rewards an extra cocktail with each you purchase.
- On the Menu:
- While the cocktail list exalts vodka martinis, each month bartenders stir up new libations. Patrons can also order food in from next door's restaurant Marion's Continental.
- The Extras:
- Revelers can also see what's shaking at The Slide downstairs.
I LOVE what they've done with the place.

They have finally turned this space into the swankiest lounge in town. Great retro relaxed atmosphere, fantastic music, comfy couches, amazing drinks. Perfect place to hang with friends, meet people, and ideal for parties. And you can pop over to Marion's next door for some seriously good food!
- Pros: Hip, Great Music, Great Drinks
