excellent moving experience!!

for anyone checking this site, I cannot speak for any other moving experience but my own; all I can say is that my job requires me to move often and I have a lot of experience with moving companies, both good and bad. I decided to use Imperial moving on a tip from a friend from manhattan to philadelphia and I found the move to be quick and painless. This company does not charge hidden fees, they do not tell you one price over the phone and stick you with another by the end. My furniture arrived unscathed and the workers were genial, pleasant, and efficient. Moving isn't rocket science, but I highly recommend this company, as they were timely, efficient, and pleasant to deal with, and the pricing is more than fair. Thank you, imperial moving!!

Avoid at all costs

Cross-country move...picked up items on time but delivery was two weeks late.

I am amazed this company has any positive ratings. I guess all the employees spend time posting positive comments rather than moving your belongings.

Fist, the foreman will demand a 25% tip and do so before completing the move, and will suggest that you run to the bank and get cash if you don't have it on hand. Secondly, the sales people will not explain that "legally they are only obligated to deliver your items between a 4 and 15 business day window" so your screwed on knowing when your items will actually be delivered.

Avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid...

Unfortunately, I had to select a star, but would have selected a piece of crap sign if offered. But will make it my personal mission to blanket the internet with negative reviews.

These guys were great. I was concerned at first, because of some Yelp reviews. but nah, in the end they carried out a fine job, and im glad i chose them

they were super nice

the lady on the phone, the movers that came, the foreman that helped me out alot.

i recommend them

Imperial Saving

Due to a predicament that I had with my land lord, I had to leave my fancy apartment. Though I had tracked down a new apartment with suprising ease, finding a reasonable moving company was a bit tough. A few moving companies that I contacted were arrogant in their very high unreasonable prices, and wanted me to follow their schedule, which i couldn't. Imperial came in and saved my soon-to-be-stranded-ass and facilitated to my concern. Plus, their prices were far better than what I had expected, or even was ready to pay. They did suprise me with their level of effiency and professionalism. The movers came on time, were very careful with my belongings (which include fragile items) and got me to my new apartment in no time.

I would recommend them to everybody and anybody. they did quite sincerely save me ass.

Great Moving Experience!

I actually signed up for Citysearch just for writing this review. It was important for me because i feel that Imperial team, from sales rep to foreman and helpers, had done all they could to make my move stress free, which wasn't an easy task.

My move was super complicated. I had to move a two bedroom apt into storage, combine that with my girlfriend's stuff from NJ, and then move everything out of storage into a house in Albany. I must say, from the first conversation with the sales person, i felt that they really care about helping me and overcoming different complications i kept throwing at them (building restrictions, elevator problems, parking issues, special packing required etc.). The reason I'm giving them 4 stars and not five, is mainly because i got a quote from another company that was somewhat cheaper, but then again, price is not the most important thing, especially when it comes to moving. Also, the cheaper company didn't offer a visual estimate, so that was a deal breaker for me.

Imperial kept up on all of their promises. Alon, the sales person was extremely helpful and attentive, and Henry, the foreman, was very professional and courteous. The team what they were supposed to do; they packed up all my belongings, wrapped all my furniture, moved it all into storage, and delivered a week later with my girlfriend's stuff. They had labels printed out in advance to put on all the boxes, they gave me an inventory list of all the items that had been stored, and when they delivered in Albany, they sent an extra mover just to make sure they can handle it all if the elevator (tiny one) wouldn't fit the large pieces.

All in all, i was very pleased, and i would use Imperial again if i need to move in the future. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.
