Editorial Review for Sigiri – by Justin Hartung
In Short
The island nation of Sri Lanka gets short shrift when it comes to the New York dining scene, so this tiny, colorful restaurant makes a welcome addition to the East Village. Bright oranges and reds dominate, and baskets line the walls. Some menu items, like curries and mulligatawny soup, will be familiar to Indian food fans, but dishes like breaded fish rolls and lamprais, a rice dish cooked in banana leaves, demonstrate the country's unique culinary identity.

I had the chicken mulligatawny and it was great. It tasted like there were many different spices. It was also BYOB which is nice. Good service.
Pros: byob
Cons: can't think of anything
