“On a positive note the decor is unique as far as Indian establishments go, though I do not really care to eat in basements as the views are non existent and a stuffy atmosphere pervades.”
“For dessert we ordered Chocolate cake and White rasp choc ice cream which was pretty good as well.”
“The service was very slow as it took them 10 mins just to get our drink and starter order.”
“Who says good food cant be expensive, but if the quality of food is super average, then high prices pinch.”
“Try the lobster, really incredible perfectly done, and with the Indian wine on the menu, a true escape for the palate.”
“Mint by far is the best restaurant I have ever been to!”
“The food was good, but after paying $48.00 for water I will never go back.”
“I've been to Mint several times lately and the service is slow but the food is terrific.”
“the look is good but the food is not worth it and the service is slow.”
“Mint is truly one of the best Indian culinary experiences Ive had in the city in a long time.”
Very Nice.... Great dining experience. service was attentive and friendly. food was intensely flavorful. reasonably priced for the amount of food we had. the lychee martini was delicious.
Excellent food!. What I love about the food here is that you get Indian flavors & spices but in a more subtle way I highly recommend tthis place the last time I was here I had a spectacular meal.
Excellent place for Authentic Indian cuisine. I"ve been to Mint a couple of times now and it's always been a great experience for me.... I celebrated my B-day dinner there along w/10-12 friends and it was one of the most amazing indian food i"ve ever tasted.....They have a really great selection of veg. and non-veg appetizers and main menu....i loved it because a couple of my friends are vegetarian so it was a wonderful experience for them to have such a vast variety of veg items.....I would absolutely recemment this place to everyone for a great dinner and an amazing time because of the gorgeous interior and environment>>>>>Totally worth it :)
Chilly Fish Chilly Fish. Im a regular at Mint and they've just added Chilly Fish to their menu which is just great. Like always i highly recommend Mint.
A GREAT FIND. I dined at Mint after reading gr8 reviews here on CitySearch and im glad that i did. I enjoyed a great Restaurant Week menu along with a great service in an extraordinary ambiance. Mint definitely crushes competition with its upbeat and modern looks & great food to go with it.
Don't believe the hype. Expensive and mediocre..
When I read the great reviews about this restaurant I had to wonder if the customer had sampled other Indian restaurants in NYC. If you look at the bad reviews listed here they pretty much summarize my experience.
Save you money and go to the good Indian restaurant!
Overrated.. I went there for my wife's bday 2 weeks ago. The service was fine but the food was ok. In my opinion Mint is quite overrated on CitySearch. I am not a fan of the dim, green ambiance, but I would discount this as personal choice. Given the ratings, I guess my expectation were set quite high. An excellent Indian restaurant in the neighborhood would be Bukhara Grill on 49th betn 2nd & 3rd (Reserve a table upstairs, its much nicer).
Great Food. I bumped into this restaurant and went in for dinner. The food was simply amazing. They also had an amazing wine list. Our server suggested Lamb Chops which came with a green sauce and were delicious.
A Great Place!. We went to Mint last night and had a really great time. The food was the highlight. There was a cauliflower app that was just delicious. I would suggest you try something in the cashew sauce. It was amazing. The decor is really nice and the service very professional.
DEFF NOT WORTH IT!. I will just sum it up... Mint is not a place to get authentic Indian food. The place is very nice, no doubt about that,BUT the food is horrible. It came out cold and just did not have any taste to it. all the curries tasted the same. It is also way too expensive for what you get. The service is just OK. If you want authentic Indian there are many places near mint.
