Overpriced cheap drinks. First time going, there was attitude from the coat check guy to the meanest barmaids ever, the drinks was extremely overpriced, the lower level, the lower level smelled! The nicest person was the bathroom attendant.
This review on this club is a little behind schedule but it is the worse club I have ever been to and me working in the PR field it baffles me how they have two different lines and make the men line up on one side and the women on the other.... The wait time just to get in the club is just mind bottling and the extensive "CAVITY" search you have to under go makes you feel like the club has a history of violence and its unsafe. I mean they literally confiscated my "LIGHTER" stating "IT WAS A DANGER TO OTHERS" it's like going through a prison facility, I had to remove everything from my pockets and place both arms in the air while they felt me down. I mean, I personally felt so violated along with the other ten people who was with me.To top things off the club smelled horrible and the type of crowd this club attracts will make you leave with in the first five minutes. The music was just way to out of date and the space even tho they have two floors, it was very limited! The ten other people I was with was suppose to be on the guest list and if we got in before 11 it was free, at the front door we was told they didn't have a guest list for us and so we was forced to pay 15 dollars just to get in.
~Very bad taste left in my mouth and I will never return!
Okay let's begin: long line. $15-20 cover because the long line prevents one from getting in before 1am so "comp tickets are gone". The venue itself is not open; it's narrow hallways & lots of stairs to climb. There is NO dance floor, no space to move. It's basically a lounge with people spontaneously dancing in the same area people need to walk. The decor is non-existant. Here's the kicker: $50 MINIMUM TO USE CARD. "Luckily" TWO cranberry & vodkas were $25.
The only, only salvation was decent music.
Never, ever again.
Good crowd and good DJ.. I went to Nest in May 08 just for a night out with friends. We went there a year earlier when it was known as Fusion and it sucked so I was a little apprehensive about going back there. Nest has two floors. The basement really had nothing going on. A few people were down there chilling out and chatting. The bathroom is also down there, which was clean with an attendant who sold goodies (gum, candy etc). The main floor was packed and everyone was dancing. Bartender was nice, didnt wait long to be acknowledged. Nest really gave me a different view than Fusion did. I guess it might be new management of something. I would go back again. It was $15 at the door (for females).
This place is a hole.... I went to Nest for an event that was supposed to include drink specials, food and all around great music. There was none of this to be had. The management was unresponsive (flat out refused to speak to me when the bartender told him I had an issue). The bartenders were clueless. The drinks were weak and overpriced. No discernable space to dance and no ventilation if you could. Because of what it is, it attracts a less than savory crowd. The spot already lost their liquor license once (R.I.P. Fusion 215) and reincarnated as this joke of a club. This place is a hole and I would never, ever, ever go back!
Oh my GOODNESS!!. I heard something similar about this club allowing underage children in at different times. I find this totally apalling. What is the problem? Babysitting? There are certain occupations were parents occasionally take their children to the office, maybe over the weekend or holidays, to pick up something or tie up loose ends but a NIGHTCLUB? Totally out of the question and unacceptable. I will defintely put the word out about this club.
a better place to for "children" to be !!!.
It appears that this night club allows employees to bring under- age children into the night club to frolic about the place during varying daytime, afternoon, late suppertime hours. This isn't COOL.......
Children should NOT be allowed into an adult drinking establishment/nightclub....
There is another venue for this......check out "Baby Disco".....it's an affair designed with little children in mind !!!
Completely overrated. How is there a $20 cover for nothing? If you want the open bar, you have to pay $35 and you have to be associated with a party. The decor is weak and the place is a maze of alleys and stairs once you are inside. Basically, this is just a place that people can feel wealthy and exclusive when they aren't any of the above. Thoroughly disappointing for an nyc bar.
Narrow space yet a nice crowd. The space is a bit narrow, but the decor is cool. I went out with a bunch of my friends on a Saturday. We bought a table and was given a deal at the door, no problems with that!!! My friend met an attractive group of women who joined us for the eniter night. The service was okay & the door guy was nice, not the typical NYC self centered A** H***. I recommend this spot.
Thank You. I lived in NYC for a long time moved, came back and I am happy to say I found a good lounge. Thur. night was relaxed good people, fun staff and chill music. Recommended.
