“comfortable banquet situated nicely in the room.”
“Our waiter disappeared after serving the entrees, we waited nearly an hour to order coffee and desert, asked two bus boys to try and find our waiter, asked another waiter who was very rude, and finally gave up and had to go and stand next to the computer ”
“Between the food, the music, the ambiance, the specialty drinks and the beautiful people I have yet to find a restaurant that satisfies all the senses as much as Philippe does.”
“Still, none of that was the worst aspect of the meal.”
“really enjoyed the wines and the dishes that were on the menu.”
“Overall it's a great place but not somewhere I could frequent too often as it is a bit pricey and a little too much of a "scene" place to go on a regular basis, but for a special occasion or a night out on the town it's a great restaurant.”
“The food was great, drinks were perfect, can't wait to go back and can't wait to visit them in Miami!”
“The food is absolutely horrendous and the service is equally as bad.”
“The staff was incredibly rude, the food was greasy not to mention way over priced.”
“was seated about 10 minutes after my reservation time (which left me plenty of time to get comfy at the bar and have a drink) to a very cozy dining room.”
Amazing food, ambiance service. Sea bass is simply amazing - moist and flavorful, with garlic Phillipe made the rounds and greeted the guests
Amazing food!. The food here is great. It's not the best of any single dish, but every dish is 2nd best.
good not great. good not great. thats my headline because as far my experiecne with asian dining has went in the past, this place is almost 5 stars! on the other hand, the meat was a bit stale, atmosphere could have been a little bit more lively, and the service was a bit sluggish on the uptake. but the seasoning for the chicken was quite tasty, i must admit. recommend this place, but not highly recomended.
TV or not TV with dinner.
If we wanted to watch TV and eat Chinese, we would have ordered in! We're flexible, and fine, we had our own "VIP" table in the Wine Cellar room but who wants to watch TV when in great company? We asked to have it turned off, but that only lasted until someone else came to sit in the area. Requested to have it turned off the second time, and after a
needless debate, it went off. Good call! During dessert, the peripheral vision of a basketball game came into effect, again, very annoyingly. It's a good thing we were waiting for the bill, otherwise, the remote would have been part of the creamy dulce de leche sauce on the Chicken Satay. Food was good but not what we consider stellar service. Isn't the
customer always right?
amazing experience a total 10. amazing food, ambiance service..these guys got sme bad reviews when they opened but they got it all together..the peking duck carved tableside is amazing..they lowered their prices and the owner is everywhere making sure all is well.outstanding and i dont please easily.
Could Live on the Chicken Satay Alone. I love Phillippe. The food is always amazing. Excellent service. The satay is perfection.
So Disappointing. The food was missing some thing..... i think they call it ..um taste yes! taste. i would've been easily satisfied with eating wet cardboard and thats just how dumbling tasted, like that wet cardboard and the satay were way too skimpy for its price which i tried to push it down with some wine and thank heavens they didn't make that. It all took way too long to arrive at my table for it to be the simpliest of foods i just couldn't believe it. If you do decide to venture there ,well I'd say you need to be commited - commited to a mental institution
Great Time - Will always go there for one. I don't think I've ever had sea bass like the one at Philippe. It is simply amazing - moist and flavorful, with garlic and black bean sause. Please order this if you ever decide to dine there. The vibe was great, everyone was smiling and by the end of the night, so was I.
No Complaints - loved it. I had the crispy beef, prawns, lettuce wraps, veggie dumplings, sea bass (best I have ever had, period), red velvet cake, sorbets (no sugar added) -- drank two Phillipini's (delicious)! Prices are not cheap, but for the extra few bucks it is worth it - in fact, for the scene alone it is worth it - get ready for some serious people-watching - most of all though, the staff was very genuine and welcoming (didn't expect that) . I will be thinking about last night's dinner for a long time - very memorable - we even got to meet Chef Phillipe Chow himself - he made the rounds and greeted the guests...
BEST OF ALL TIME. Best food, best service, best atmosphere. Decorated to perfection. All locations amazing: NYC x2, Miami, MX, and now W.Hollywood! Incredible!
